  Datacenter price, electric, cash for employers, ceo who wants more. All has to be paid by customers.

  The most laughable part is netcup ceo promises for price increase:

  “ At netcup, we will use this time well and are already working on the following:

  We are improving our internal processes so that we can offer you an even better customer experience in the future.
  We will offer you additional products and services. We will announce more about this at our community event in about a month.
  We will also improve our code base and offer you better panels, although this is still in the works.
  There will be no price promotions like Black Friday in this market situation.”

  So all this was not a priority before so called “rampocalypse”.

  Can’t be there any template for price increase messages? Take a look at ovh, hetzner or leaseweb. Simple: absorb increase or gtfo.

  You should open up a business and sell to LET with fair practices, show these evil companies the right way to do things.

  Ticket took 7 days to respond.

  Hotline?

  "Our support hotline is temporarily unavailable. Due to an increased volume of support requests, there may also be delays in processing incoming inquiries. In some cases, you may therefore receive a response later than usual. Our support team is already working hard to address all issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding and patience."

  And it’s been like this for a month. Apparently, the price hikes are still too small to afford some support staff.

  If they're reducing how much storage is allotted to each VPS because actual disk usage is low, why don't they use thin provisioning?

  I also suspect that we need more fine-grained, low-overhead memory ballooning that only releases genuinely free (not just reclaimable) memory back to the host, and which doesn't reduce the reported amount of memory. As long as it can both release and re-acquire pages fast, it would drastically reduce the amount of memory the host actually needs.

  I guess I'm never giving up my 2 netcup VPS. It is what is is with this market...really wild
