I never leave my card connected, so nothing can be stolen.

sure but you now have evidence they're either grossly incompetent or blatantly malicious, why would you still trust them with data and/or packets?

it was rhetorical anyway no worries.

I would trust them with certain data, which is not particularly valuable

Since no-one is going to do shit I guess I'd suggest at least leaving a review on trustpilot or whatever if you guys could spare a minute. Bc well that's really freaking disgusting biz behaviour from @Dasabo

Every time I refresh their TrustPilot page, their score goes down a little lmao.

They'll just say they don't recognize you and it'll get taken down. Then just send evidence of purchase to TrustPilot over email and they'll put it back whether Dasabo wants it or not.

Yes yes, I have already prepared screenshots of my order. Had very similar experience in the past, I think even bolox tried the same trick.

  • da fuq is that sht? so a *proof needs to be added otherwise they're gonna take the review down or what

"You’ve written a review for Dasabo, and they’ve asked for more details to better understand your experience.

If you provide some extra information within 3 days, it’ll help them recognize your experience and respond.

    Add review details

If we don’t hear from you, the company may not be able to recognize your review as genuine."

Yeah it's stupid. Just give details. Or don't, and when it's removed in 3 days, reply to the TrustPilot email with screenshots of your purchase information. Make sure your email address is visible in the screenshots. They'll put it back up.

Dasabo literally shot itself in the back of the head with this KYC policy.

How do you expect to retain customers when your approach is basically:

Long-term customer - buys VPS/dedicated - pays by credit card - uses the service normally - suddenly gets a KYC request - 10-day deadline - no documents = account and VPS terminated.

And apparently, even if the VPS was already paid months in advance, the customer can still lose access and, according to the reports here, may not even get a refund.

This is not how you treat long-term paying customers.

There is a massive difference between asking for identity verification before accepting a new customer/order and retroactively demanding a passport/ID + selfie from an existing customer who has already paid and has been using your service normally.

If Dasabo really believes this is the way to build trust and retain customers, they are doing the exact opposite.

You don't need to tell customers: "Follow our new KYC procedure within 10 days or lose your account."

You are a hosting provider, not a bank.

Dasabo had customers who were already paying them. Instead of making those customers feel valued, this policy gives them a reason to move their infrastructure somewhere else.

    They didn't just introduce KYC.

    This is basically corporate suicide.

    Best regards,

  • Is 10 days notice and no refund for the remaining time you've already paid for even legal according to EU regulations?

  • @SysLog said:

Dasabo completely missed the game. What a shame!

Hmm? They got a bunch of money, didn't provide a service, and didn't get sued over it. According to my capitalism handbook, that's a win. They'll eventually come back to LET with a different name and do the same thing again.

In this case the "no PayPal, no deal" insurance worked and protected me.
(I never purchased from those [self-censored])

    Which exactly Regulations?

  • If he cannot pass the KYC, he should get a refund.

  • "Under EU Directive 93/13/EEC on Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts, a clause allowing a trader to terminate services and retain pre-paid funds for unrendered services is considered an unfair contract term and is legally void. If service is discontinued, the remaining balance for the unused period must be refunded."

  • I would love to see some lowend lawer here for this case, very interest

  • I have this similar chair, this skill is learned. Thank you sir 😂
