$1 billion
$7?
$7? Is that a one-time lifetime payout, or are you expecting pension benefits too?
$7 per keystroke?
Bullshit. GTFO.
You get one free 7$ / year vps.
work and you will get a vps for free right ?
@manish
Only dedicated servers.
Wait you seriously get free dedis; 😂
Maybe we add 500 dedis into what's your salary requirements and send it.
Although above role does not fit me; I did see another one that piques my interest. Though the ambiguous salary requirement does make it look a bit suspicious; even though that might not be the intention.
This is normal for most American companies (excluding service industry like fast food, restaurants), to not tell what they are willing to pay - you have to tell them what you want, if it's too high they say no, if it's too low they say great.
If I have no prior experience but good at prompting AI, can I have a go.
yours sincereley
I thought there were pay transparency laws in parts of the US now where employers have to disclose the lower and upper bounds for a position. Might be state specific rather than a federal requirement though. IIRC places like NJ have something along those lines now.
PS: I had a chat with @MrRadic earlier about one of their other engineering roles. Not affiliated with them, but the engineering/AI workflow he described is pretty far out on the frontier compared to what I've seen elsewhere.
For anyone who actually meets the criteria they're looking for, I'd probably recommend throwing in a resume with your preferred salary requirements.
And apparently free dedis. So obviously factor few hundreads of those into total comp.
I'm used to seeing a salary range usually dictated by credentials or years of experience in the field. IMHO having nothing listed wastes both parties time.
Yeah there are but very limited places have those laws. More common in NY and NJ.
Even if they give you a pay range, they still ask you how much you want.
Boo
can someone ask for $300K and then negotiate would that work
I mean... Google is free.... Now IF they are offering this.. I don't know. Might be less. Might be more. But can give some people maybe a ball park.
On top of that. There are plenty of other sites that will show average pays.
Although, My personal take. A range is nice as I could say "Oh, I want $200k" but the job is only say $80k. Some companies will just skip past ya and yet your willing to come down.
The numbers above is just examples and NOT what is being offered in this post as I don't know what is being offered.
Nothing is out of our range with the proper skill set.
I have guys doing 6 months of work in a week (no exaggeration) and only accelerating, they get paid the big bucks.
I hope his pay will increase like the servers did!
I don't use Juniper but I can watch anime for you.
That's definitely an exaggeration. Also, you probably are not quantifying the work properly if that's the time savings you think you're getting.
I'm a Canadian remote worker working for a Us company with a few global offices but not in Canada. When I was hired, they used the salary guide for the local area and I got a pretty decent salary. A couple years later they added a policy for my area and it would be far lower than it is now.
Companies don't want to pay local competitive salaries, they want to pay other countries competitive salaries and save on exchange and hourly rates.
