Truth. I am quite excited about that. I might have to go get donuts
What is the go 2 place for you?
I don't have many options, its either a random gas station or dunkin donuts, so I usually do dunkin
Figured, same for me when I hang out in the US.
Still 2.5 USD / Piece? or it went to 4?

So what I understand, the new trend is using ancient hardware with high prices (to cover the costs) and focus on B2B.
Most of LET hosts has slow support (you wait 24 hours or more) and they say its because these are bargain deals and not to expect any instant support.
As B2B’s wont wait that long for problems to get solved and considering they pay “non promo” prices, they will expect faster support.
Considering most LET hosts have staff less than 5 people, I wonder how they will offer much better support for their B2B customers.
Or they will charge enterprise prices and offer LET level of support.
Time will tell
4 was actually only $4.35!
Wtf all is good then
I stay
Why do these remain specifically? Plans to do the same for them just that it’s too early for now or why the difference?
I will put them under the "Special Occasion ".
@barbaros what is with the hostility?
You are building an entire argument on assumptions about HOST-C’s hardware, staffing, revenue sources, customer mix and support capabilities — none of which you actually know.
Do you genuinely believe that heavily discounted promotional services kept HOST-C’s lights on, funded its infrastructure and covered its investments over the past three years?
You seem unusually invested in predicting how a business you know very little about will operate. By all means, keep speculating.... you may eventually guess something correctly.
Cheers!
🥳
can i get them too thanks
The faster we reach singularity, the faster we can get back cheap vps
Arguably my best host-c deal is safe, glorious (the $15/yr 15th anniversary 3TB box)
You are not obligated as a business to verify what the client provide, as long as it's not all customers (so it does not look like money laundering), nothing will happen to you. Exception would be B2B at some cases, especially with VAT involved.
I would even argue, that even if you would verify it, there is some laws forcing you to issue invoice with data that was given.
Businesses are verified in VIES prior of issuing invoices without VAT, so that is fine, what is non EU business, it is VAT invoiced, that is standard.
Regarding B2C, an invoice must contain identifying information for the recipient, including name/address and the applicable identification number. ( application number can be considered the email address or phone number )
That does not mean the fella can be Bat Man, the invoice data is supposed to be truthful.
Yet, this is defensively the wrong forum to continue this discussion, as most don't give 2c on the above.

🍿yummy
Anyway, @host_c. If a host could access the registered date/post count/thanks/visit ratio... It's not a guarantee that it's not a farmed account, right? Eventually, the entire post history ought to be scrutinized
And the server I won, that I also then proceeded to pay for after a year… not a special occasion, doesn’t deserve the grace of being kept as is? I thought I was done with the conversation, but seeing the exceptions being made, I’m now like why?
I know you have to make money at the end of the day, but this is now making me question things.
Alternatively they could have EOL'd only those special offers that had been idling too much for too long (say, average load close to 0 and less than 500gb bw used). And overly noisy neighbors as well (load close to the max, bw used in full each and every month...)
Lots of hardware capacity ready for new (b2b) customers, yay!!!
(Just for the fun ^^)
I think you can raise a ticket and get the special treatment since your server was also special.
These kind of exceptions is what leaves a bad taste in mouth. You may call it me being jealous (may be a bit I am) but I am assuring you all is not jealousy.
May be disappointment.
Because the way I got the servers felt like winning a lottery amongst others. Couldn't afford other storage servers due to empty wallet but this one was something I could hold on to. But now.... Voosh. Everything destroyed in a second.
