C-Servers upgrade not applied - NanoVPS-1024 still running with 384MB RAM

I purchased an upgrade from NanoVPS-384 to NanoVPS-1024.

However, after the upgrade:

Panel still shows:
RAM: 384 MB

Inside VPS:
MemTotal: around 344 MB

The VPS occasionally becomes extremely slow:

  • SSH commands may take minutes
  • ps/top can hang

CPU is mostly idle.

It looks like the upgrade order was not applied to the actual VPS container.

Can anyone confirm if C-Servers upgrades are manually processed?

I am not requesting technical support, only trying to confirm whether the upgrade process requires manual approval.

  • thank you for contacting support, your wait time has doubled.

C-Servers appears to monetize all human support through paid addons, including support tickets. How are billing/provisioning issues handled without purchasing support?

  • Have you tried turning it off and on again?

    Yes, tried rebooting already

  • On the panel itself?
Well I'm out of ideas then :)

    Yes, tried rebooting already

In that case, simply restarting might not be enough. I would try completely stopping the VM and then starting it again from the management panel.

Updates are manually processed at the present moment but I will take a look at yours.

I am also aware that the node is slow disk-wise for customers of these plans (actually the only one like this) and there will be a communicated maintenance window shortly (expected by Tuesday, could delay) in order to improve exactly that. Last Saturday I attempted, and managed to do, some improvements there, but it's still not on a level I would consider reasonable.

Perfectly willing as well to revert the upgrade considering the present state of things, no problem at all. Send me a private message with the account details and I'll take it from there.

Hello, you need to have a service with them
Worth 20 euro or more to be able to complain officially.

    Thanks

This place has a terrible reputation - they just ban accounts for any reason without giving a refund

That's because they are unaware of how to determine which individual behind NAT is responsible for a given action. They actually seem to believe it's impossible to determine and even argued as such despite others correcting them.

tl;dr they don't ban accounts randomly, but if someone else on the same IPv4 gets banned, you get blamed too.
