    Is this Stalwart?

No, this is purely antispam, not a full blown mail product. We'd love to work on one as an alternative to Smartermail, but we have more important things first ;)

    I understand. I was looking/expecting a service like https://mecsa.jrc.ec.europa.eu/ or https://checkcybersecurity.service.ncsc.gov.uk/email-security-check or https://www.mail-tester.com/ from a master like you.

    Best Regards

We might look to add something simple inside of our new billing portal to give people a green light :) we do have a DNS record checker for cranemail that does the trick too.

I want a tool for external self-hosting servers, but I understand you won't deploy such a service as it might be used to improve the quality of SPAM, if you provided directions like 'It landed in INBOX'. lol.

I know @jar Sir (pioneer of LET, I guess?) and also you are revered in email delivery business.

So, you can exclude that and give general details of various modern email mechanisms.

    Nope, we'll keep both sets!

We've greatly improved MXFilter's OCR capabilities which will help with 'image only' spam/phishing, as well as handling PDF's that don't have malware, but instead the spam/phishing is inside of it.

This is already rolled out and live, enjoy!

Can you say if + aliases are supposed to work or can be enabled on the control panel? I looked at it and couldn't find any option for this.

This is needed for VERP bounce handling.

I asked this on my help ticket but it seems like anything that is on customer reply is automatically closed.

I'll check your ticket, it would be in my queue.

It should pass through just fine. If it isn't, we can make it.

It doesn't pass through, it says the user is not found.

OK, whats your ticket? This is on inbound right?

    Yes it is on inbound.

something like this returns invalid account

    [email protected]

    CRANE-24536

It still doesn't work. It says: 550 <...> No such user here. It is listed as bounced in https://portal.mxfilter.net

SpamExperts is decom'd at this point!

Users that pointed their own DNS to the SE IP's must cut over before August 1st when we'll decom these nodes.

We've setup a reverse proxy so users can still access the SpamExperts portal to release quarantined emails and such, but that will also go down as of the 1st.

We'll go log diving over the next couple days and reach out to users to make sure they cut over.

    Thanks!

  • A very rare thing happened this morning: NameCrane bounced an inbound message. Was this likely a hiccup related to the antispam transition?

Yes that would've been on the cut over. Some domains didn't get copy properly due to some mismatched data from SpamExperts. Once we noticed we sorted it and alls been well since.

Will NameCrane Email users also be transferred to MXFilter automatically or do I have to do something (PM to Francisco was mentioned in the beginning...)?

The link in settings ("Login to MXFilter") does currently not work and just goes back to main domain management. Anything else I should do to enable it?
