If anyone else is interested, feel free to keep replying and indicating interest. I will pause here since we're over the 25 but I'm likely to add at least a few more. Just need to space it out a bit.

  • If you open it back, I'd be interested. I have some software testing experience.

I'm an active crunch bits customer, id participate if there is still an open slot.

  • victory7victory7 Member

I'm an active crunchbits customer (currently have a storage VPS) and would also be interested in being a guinea pig if there are any open slots left. Thanks!

Plus we know Eriq is currently getting drunk and playing with fireworks which can only result in Good Things Happening™

Do you use AI to develop the control panel?

  • Was a customer, thank you for the $100

Know it's awkward, but I am a developer by trade, happy to poke around, play as a user and beyond.

Was always a crunch bits fan, and still recommend you guys to everyone GL on discovery

It looks very, very AI with AI "markings" from style, design, code style, and comments everywhere.

    • the order sliders change the total price but do not show me a price per unit i added like IPv4 or TB storage; this is kinda misleading to spend more IMO - it feels a bit off to not just note "1$/IP" next to the slider
    • it was really hard to find how to cancel/delete a VPS, took me at least a few min, i expected it to appear when i force shutdown the VPS, then i looked at reinstall area and finally found it deep in settings.
    • the slider to terminate is a nice touch to prevent accidents without AWS style typing the entire dumb hostname
    • The network to Europe is... idk man, Its Twelve99 i should not just get 68Mbit on a HT Gbit link or 200Mbit to a server in NL. (iperf3)
    • I'll wait for Bulgaria, its kinda unfair to judge transit from Texas to EU
    • Addon v4 are in the manager, if possible maybe also add Addon v6 (yes im aware they are free) BUT then also fix configure them on the server on setup. Adding more v6 later is a gamble with so many weird ISP setups (like /112s inside a /48 and so on).
    • PTR will accept IDN domains but only as xn--bla, try using österreich.at and it seems to silently fail. I presume the standard would be to generate the xn etc and set that.

Baseline/core no. Existed before AI tools were remotely useful. A lot of finish/repetitive work, yes. Helped with a lot of the very final UI/UX stuff, too. Kind of stuff that probably would have dragged it out another year if not for ability to have the team iterate stuff quicker.

Just to comment on these 2:
    1. 1299 Has had horrific backbone outages or issues/congestion through Chicago which seems to be where everything west of the Mississippi is routed to (and all EU-centric traffic forcibly chooses via BGP). It's been an issue all week for production work in our US-W site to the point I think we've de-preferenced/shut them. Happens a few times a year. 1299 is great when it's up, but they probably go down/have issues more than any other carrier (including Cogent--just that when it's up it is also not Cogent).
    2. I won't care too much about throughput/network stuff since it's single-site TX only and as all things network very reliant on what carrier isn't broken that day, but local tests are good.

I'll add some more. I don't know the total number, but I'll definitely bring more in from this thread. I think we'll iterate first round of feedback quickly after holiday and then bring some more in from here. Feedback so far has been extremely helpful, concise, and fantastic for team to see. Very much appreciate you guys being so thorough.

I see. He didn't mentioned it. Just strolling around SFO and whether someone want to have a "coffee" with him. :D

Anyway, I'm disappointed because I only received a single fumo. But, you donated a dedi to freevps which I'm using. So, I can't complain much about ... A fumo worth $48 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Hmm, no. Not before you sent me the tracking code.
Also, I add you as the recipient, Eric @crunchbits , as screenshot isn't a reliable proof.

    Two quick questions:

    1. Are Tor exit relays permitted? They are completely legal, but do affect IP reputation.
    2. Your AUP states "Cryptocurrency mining, blockchain node operation, or any computationally intensive transactional processing is strictly prohibited". Does this include non-mining blockchain nodes that are not computationally intensive?

Either way, I am absolutely interested.

Aight. 🦆 The swedes. Give @forest a chance!

@crunchbits So what do you say, will you give this @forest a chance? ;)

(Fine fine I'll stop begging now!)

Hopefully I’m not too late — I donated in the charity thread and would love to take part if there’s still room.

I’m a seasoned web developer and would be happy to spend time testing the portal properly and provide detailed, actionable feedback.
