Solid VPS double the renew prices for legacy.
Dear ,
Thank you for being a loyal SolidVPS customer.
We're writing to let you know about an upcoming adjustment to your legacy promotional hosting plan.
Since signing up in 2024, you've continued to enjoy your promotional rate, and we've honored that pricing for over two years. However, market conditions have changed significantly since then. The cost of hardware, network transit, software licensing, power, and infrastructure has continued to rise, making this adjustment necessary to ensure we can continue providing the reliable service and support you expect from SolidVPS.
Service IP: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Your Current Annual Price: $5.95/year
New Annual Renewal Price: $11.95/year
One-Time Loyalty Renewal Offer
As a thank you for your continued support, we'd like to offer you a one-time loyalty renewal.
If you open a support ticket on or before August 1, 2026, our team will generate a one-time loyalty renewal invoice, allowing you to renew your service for one additional year at the discounted rate of just $9.95/year.
After August 1, 2026, or if you choose not to take advantage of this offer, future renewals will be billed at the new annual rate of $11.95/year.
We sincerely appreciate your continued trust in SolidVPS and look forward to serving you for many years to come.
Warm regards,
The SolidVPS Team

@yoursunny
what specs is it? might take it off your hands if its that bad...
$6 to $10, that's like $4 more
These plans have been unchanged since 2024 and honored for over two years.
We operate as a premium infrastructure provider in a market where core costs (transit, hardware, power, IP space) have increased significantly across the industry, in many cases 200–300%.
Even after this adjustment, pricing remains below current market levels for comparable services, and we are still absorbing part of the cost.
This change reflects current operating conditions, not legacy pricing.
my incomming didnt doubled since 2024.... but your bussiness your right to adjust...
also its old shit, IPv4 only if I recall well
Price Increase on Recurring Dealz Hall of Predatoriness
Wait, second e-mail came, they do it on all the Services! rolf! Upgrade the price but not the product, hell no !!!!! @SolidVPS
Not received anything about mine but they are more expensive than the <$10 range
They increase just the BF offers, I guess
Yeah, my first thought was "Is this shared hosting or is it a VPS?". Sure 100% increase is 100% increase but if the original price is $6/y...
I have received three emails so far. One for increase from $5.95 to $11.95 and the other two are from $60 to $84. 40% increase, no thank you. I don't think I will be renewing.
Will it affect any other services you offer?
lots of people taking the opportunity to raises prices, if you think it's justified or you feel betrayed is gonna be your personal thing i guess.
i am super curious how black friday looks this years.. like are providers going to go back to $7 and just hope people forget they jacked prices? or maybe those days are just gone gone.
aside from the increases i've noticed a few other oddities too, like racknerd sale prices being missing for the first time (that i can recall).
interesting times, maybe we're all headed back to 256mb ram vps heh (free LEA).
*no services with these guys btw, just general comments.
Fourth email... Increase from $65 to $90.
I use very little resources on these servers. Most are pretty much idle. I'll be migrating to self-host. Hell with this.
Just got mine. $25 early $40 afterwards
Are all of these increases from two year old deals? I haven't seen an email for my services from Christmas/New Years 2025.
This is a high-resource EPYC-based VPS allocation (16GB–32GB RAM class depending on configuration), and it is significantly below current market pricing due to it being a legacy plan.
The pricing you are referencing reflects 2024 legacy rates. The current renewal pricing reflects updated 2026–2027 infrastructure and market conditions.
At today’s market rates, equivalent resources are typically priced approximately 4–5x higher than your current legacy renewal.
If the service is not renewed, it will be deprovisioned at the end of the term and the resources will be returned to inventory and made available at current market pricing.
Precisely. I obtained multiple VM's from your company because they WERE at a good price point. 40% increase on multiple servers is a bit much.
I still have a few static IP's left. It doesn't cost me anything to self-host. Plus I have better security in place and it will be much easier dealing with local backups/restores. I might hang onto one Solid VPS for the time being but I'll let you return the others to inventory when it comes time for renewal. Best of luck in your endeavors.
I have some BF offers and/or flash sales from their thread. Didn't receive a mail yet. Doesn't look good though as those are very good deals for what I'm paying.
I really like Solid so I'd hate to migrate away if pricing gets adjusted by too much.
Ya same issue
So the price has been increased four times, from $6 to $90 in one day?
Probably 4 different services
Solid VPS becomes Solidly Expensive.
Bingo!
These are annual renewal increases—not monthly increases that were implemented overnight. Many of these legacy rates have remained unchanged since 2023 and 2024 despite significant increases in hardware, infrastructure, power, bandwidth, licensing, and operating costs.
For example, a service renewing at $6/year ($0.50/month) is increasing to $12/year ($0.99/month). Likewise, a legacy $65/year EPYC VPS (approximately $5.42/month) is renewing at $90/year (approximately $7.50/month).
For comparison, equivalent EPYC 16GB–32GB VPS plans are currently offered on our website at approximately $29.95–$39.95/month. Even after these legacy renewal adjustments, long-term customers are still paying only a fraction of current market pricing.
These renewals simply bring legacy plans closer to today's 2026–2027 market conditions while remaining heavily discounted. We have absorbed these differences for years, and continuing to subsidize legacy pricing indefinitely is not sustainable.
If these renewal rates no longer meet your budget, we completely understand and appreciate the opportunity to have served you. However, we will not continue offering services at pricing that no longer reflects today's operating costs. Resources from non-renewed services will be returned to inventory and made available at current market rates.
If an increase of approximately $1–2 per month on a service that has remained at 2023–2024 pricing is considered unacceptable "Expensive as you say", we completely respect your decision not to renew. In that case, we would rather reallocate those resources to another customer who recognizes and appreciates the substantial discount these legacy plans continue to receive.
