Some people get upset quicker than others. Some overreact and then can't take the step back to review their reaction and apologise for that reaction once they have calmed down. That tends to allow others to feed off their anger and problems escalate when they could so easily be solved.
Some people just don't cope well with the freedom that internet forums give them to unleash their rage without thinking about the consequences.
Some people like to spend all of their time developing new ideas, rather than fixing the ongoing issues with their systems. Really basic issues that they could resolve with a little communication.
Am I posting in the right thread?
Admins gotta add a new rule for "don't try to get other LET'ers fired" :P
I doubt anything will be done about it.
I agree. Jar actually doxing a community member over a bad review is beyond unacceptable. This goes beyond having a heated argument or getting in a pissing contest. This is trying to hurt someone in the real world.
sadly...with the staff as they are...i dont expect him to be booted
our best option is to ensure this information remains accessible for all to witness
holy shit, did he read what he wrote? going out of his way to find the identity of someone online + where they work.. thats actual harassment. he should take some of his own advice lmao..
@jar doxxing someone on an online forum because of an argument, makes you lose instantly. no matter how right or wrong you are. doxxing is never acceptable
Holy shit this is real. I guess the writing was always on the wall but what the actual fuck.
If he gets banned can we swap the words in the thread title to "lowendtalk.com no longer seeks or welcomes traffic from MXroute"? 🤣
Needless to say, after this whole doxing incident, my sympathy for jar still being upset over what happened has completely evaporated. I take back my previous statement that I have nothing at all against him as a person. This is reprehensible.
Shame on him.
@jar wrote on the e-mail in the first post:
What exactly are you expecting them to do?
Ban his account.
It doesn't matter that he's not planning on using it anymore, the site should clearly distance itself from bad actors, no matter their history or previous status.
Close the thread.
Apply the rules. Just because someone stops paying for a provider tag doesn't mean their account should be immune.
most unhinged thing i have seen in years
Honestly, that's what I suspect will happen, even though I think it shouldn't.
A pinned PSA about the risks of dealing with MXRoute might be in order.
First: cancel all LET packages.
I think just a ban would be enough, since VeloxMedia behaved similarly (although... even then Eric didn't actually dox anyone, he just insulted them. Holy shit, does this mean jar is more unstable than Eric?)
The rules do say that doxing results in a ban and nothing else, which would be fair.
I have always trusted MXroute based on the quality of their service and try my best to steer clear of any forum drama between others and the owner. But what I'm seeing now is seriously worrying and gives me(and maybe other customers) serious cause for concern.
all my respect for Jar went away reading that revenge review on trustpilot. sad to see.
Well, to be fair, if @WyvernCo really is a Public Relations manager then his actions in that previous thread absolutely should be a concern for his employer.
Trustpilot isn't the way to go about addressing that for sure, but I know for sure I wouldn't be happy hiring a guy like this to do PR for my company.
I guess the lesson we can learn from all of this is that sometimes if you go out of your way to be a dick to someone, and won't stop harrassing them, sometimes they fight back.
So writing a bad review is harassing them, and doxing is an appropriate response? That's all WyvernCo did.
This is beyond concerning.
@forest, @WyvernCo
I wish to ask, what is the end game here? What you wish to prove/show/present?
Are we debating the moral actions of Jar as a person? as if we do so, we are missing a whole lot of facts and we are now in page 4 of mostly-speculation-driven-facts-and-interpretation.
And as a person he can write whatever the fuq he wishes on whatever the fuq website as we all do.
Or are we debating MXRoute as a service provider???
MXroute is providing a service for over a decade now and sincerely overall it is good
As @MannDude said, you don't have to like the fella personally to use their service, I hate to my guts MSFT, yet I use it daily.
And @WyvernCo, precisely how could you get fired from your work by a 3'rd party person??? Is your boss a kid that leans to whatever others say/write? If that is the case, you should choose another job as the next one not liking you and sending a mail to your work might actually pull it off.
You really aspect us to believe that you almost got fired by a bad review by someone??? - this is childish.
Or, if you do have a sensitive workplace and are aware of that, maybe try not to engage on public forums and expect no outcome.
Jar wrote something about you, so what??? have you seen the shit that other providers get from users for some idiotic reasons???? I ain't seeing a list from them asking to bann users.
This is over exaggerated really, providers are called scam, trash, thieves you know, the usual stuff by many here, not always true and almost none of the users were banned, yet when one provider takes action against a user, all hell broke loose... - see the irony???
I am not pointing fingers here, just wished to outline the truth and facts.
I have said it before, we need to learn to play ball.
Oh yes........ where are the popcorn gif's???.
He tracked down and doxed someone. He didn't just write something mean.
This is the guy your trusting ur emails to.
Jesus fuck. Thank god there are alternatives like @Francisco Namecrane
Yeah but the parking at your office is atrocious, and you wouldn't need to worry about running over the geese again, consider it a bonus!
Just so I understand... You're comfortable with Jar doxxing people? Would you do the same to customers who give bad reviews?
How did he obtain the information to connect an online username to a real employee of that company?
Surely you as a provider would know that abusing private data from clients to find out such information is strictly forbidden?
I think that this is a reasonably alarming situation, regardless of what LET forum drama preceded it.
All signs point towards MXRoute having accessed data they weren't allowed to, to do what they did, and that's what matters.
No one knows, that's the fucked up thing. It's not public information that anyone could just Google.
Well, to be fair, there's no indication that he represents the company on this platform. If he doesn't, then his role isn't relevant. The real question is how jar managed to link him to the company in order to leave such a review? Particularly when both @WyvernCo and others assert that no public information exists linking him to the company.
Sure he can, but he can also be held responsible for those words - especially as part of a company with a small amount of employees, with him calling the shots at that company.
Unsure where some of you are getting that @WyvernCo or @forest have been "harassing" him.
