Much safer. Now it does not work.
May this prophecy come true! May your beliefs come with blessings upon your (mouth) keyboard and shine light upon your golden (tongue) fingers!
Yeah latency is a problem .
"single AI rack draws up to 600 kW and optical networking alone can consume 10% of that power envelope. "
Scale-up optics — the chip-to-chip interconnects within NVIDIA’s NVLink domain — are approaching a transition point as the NVLink-connected GPU domain expands from 72 GPUs in Blackwell to larger configurations in Rubin, pushing copper electrical signaling toward its physical limits in bandwidth-per-watt at the frequencies required for 800 Gbps links. NVIDIA’s CPO-based systems, such as Quantum-X and Spectrum-X Photonics, target power consumption reductions of up to 3.5x and resiliency improvements of 10x, gains that become essential when a single AI rack draws up to 600 kW and optical networking alone can consume 10% of that power envelope.Scale-out optics — the rack-to-rack fabric layer using pluggable and eventually co-packaged transceivers — face a volume problem, as clusters scaling to tens of thousands of GPUs require hundreds of thousands of optical links, each dependent on the same constrained InP laser supply. NVIDIA is positioning itself to lead both domains by transitioning from traditional pluggable transceivers to vertically integrated CPO.
Especially in current setup where multiple GPU is required to run latest model.
And, reading recent news. it seems they're developing 100+Tbps core system in-a-rack
I
where is the drama? HOURS from the terms update have been passed! peuple musst be pissd!
spoiler: the pissed ones are the ones that still won't get the email update lol
Clearly this calls for "We updated the terms and nobody had any drama" celebratory deals.
damn, forgot... IPV6 only

Yet i might do outbound NAT IPV4 on it, still thinking of that is to any use ?????
This is a follow up from here:
https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/215366/host-c-pioneer-5tb-storage-user-looking-for-alternatives#latest
Would an outbound only IPV4 NAT be to any use on a IPV6 only service?? Or most got the hang of cloud-flare tunneling or other for IPV4 access?????
I mean I already have my own ipv4 nat figured out through one of my dual stack boxes, its even part of my ansible script
but it does make things like talking to github or running unmodified YABS a little easier for folks, id imagine.
yeah, I was thinking as at least outbound access to IPV4 only sites would be much easier this way...
Let's see what others think.....
Also I'm pretty sure you broke LET. You mentioned me and it took me 5 minutes to load the page, even downforeveryoneorjustme.com showed it as down for a minute there
As fast as @host_c sales go, 5 minutes is a downright CRISIS, ok!?!?! :P
Ironically, yes. There's a lot of ipv4 only sites.
... MOAR
@host_c any plans to offer VPS servers in Indonesia? 🇮🇩
related comment (i would buy)
Thx, well, here is the catch. We own our infrastructure, and I am not comfortable to rent out.
So for that to happen, it means I will have to fly in there and open the location myself, why????? well, I kinda don't trust DC staff, no offense to anyone, but I have a very bad experience with that.
Right now, as of today, I don't think an expense like this is worth the try..... and here comes the but, but I am leaning not to open a new location the EU, as sincerely, the most I will gain is ~25 ms. So yes, other Geo Locations are on the table for the next grand opening, and sincerely, ASIA sounds nice to me lately...... But I cannot confirm this for the moment.
Yet , as I said earlier, I will restrain myself from high risk investments until the dust settles.
I definitely understand this concern. However at some point you most likely have to if you wish to offer your services in multiple regions.
Good luck with the (future) expansion
Thank you for answer and have a great day!
Yeah, precisely, that is my puzzle now, for quite a while actually. The RAM and GAS fuckery did not help, we did cancel a bunch of projects for 2026, among them is expansion, yet, I will not say more, as I am waiting how will things develop at a larger scale for the moment. ( Geo-Political wise )
Yes, tough times. Whole expansion is cool but I guess having a more sustainable plan in relation to what you have already is...more important I guess. I do enjoy my two servers with you, super stable, so I hope this will continue throughout years rather than having more cool locations and well...However, ID location is interesting
Nothing compares to them romanian sisters
@host_c you promised my server a reboot, where is it? add diks to my vps while at it
Ahh there is it.
my server was not rebooted either, i'm losing millions! oh, wait...
I'm committed to give insights... For $7/yr deals 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
We delayed the reboot as we also did some FW updates.
Nodes are getting restarted right now.
You are losing millions? I lose billions! The end is nigh! I was hoping for Romania to bounce back with strong power and great might and insane numbers. I believe, I want to believe, I must resist. You can do this @host_c !
Kudos for doing a proper shutdown sequence, not every provider is at that level yet, it's a premium feature!
2 more nodes to go, we do them 1 by 1 so we limit the downtime.
we will announce the end of the maintenance via e-mail once it is done.
My vps is up already, nice!
