Thank you dino squad!
Not one bit surprised. They've tried to renew my service 4 months after I've cancelled my (mediocre) services with them. A chat operator noticed I was online, said "Hi" (which they never usually do?) and then manually billed me.
Thank goodness I already migrated my clients in advance to a new server that wasn't ass because when I reached out on chat they cancelled the invoice, but they also cancelled the entire service before it was actually set to expire (when they shouldn't even have renewed it in the first place). If I hadn't taken precautions, I would've been absolutely cooked.
I always set cancellation to "end of billing period" and this has never been an issue with all of the companies I've been with. Needless to say, never do business with this "India’s #1 Leading Best Web Hosting Company".
One option is to dispute the charge with PayPal. Since the original offer was for "lifetime" and they coded it as a recurring payment without clear disclosure of a 3-year term, you have a good case for misrepresentation. PayPal often favors the buyer in such situations if the service description doesn't match the billing.

So did this get resolved or was it just swept under the rug?
Who's lifetime? What is lifetime?
You sure you live in the next 5 years? Lmfao
I like how they keep bumping their own promo thread in an attempt to drown out this one.
I've made that mistake before! Now I stick to one-time payments on PayPal to avoid the hassle. I'd rather log in once a year to renew than deal with auto-pay issues.
