Dude.. that's so fucking clever!
Ofcourse, as long as idiots are running the show:
Next I cancelled the VPS for the end of the "billing period" (which ofcourse should have been almost 3 years in the future):
And today (the 11th):
what a scam
Yes, we could say Lewis and/or Eric is scamming people. Anyone who could disprove it should speak within this forum
That migration of IP address will probably charge everyone who are affected a "LOW AMOUNT MONTHLY FEE" for switching to a "MUCH BETTER" IP address. Otherwise no IP address and no connection to the server.
And of course the migration of the servers themselves to Ohio in east US. The existed users will have to accept the migration for free (or maybe with an additional "LOW AMOUNT MONTHLY FEE" for switching to a "MUCH BETTER" server). Otherwise there will be a "Discontinuation of services" waiting for them.
It just want to get rid of everyone without a payment as soon as possible.
He just keeps on changing stories over and over again; bending things at his convenience. Comes in here saying he took over VeloxMedia, now he declares there was no company, he only took over the domain. Maybe technically right, but not what has happened. If he's such a "man of technically following the law" he never ever should have accepted the keys/takeover with customers on it. He may think he knows the law, but I know the law in my country and he's trading in it. And here you accept responsibilities when you accept the "keys" with customers on it.
Basically the same as the laws say here with buying a second hand house: you have to do your homework and do a structural research by a reputable company. If not, building issues found and not told by the previous owner after you accepted the keys are your problems and responsibilities.
I thought this scam has concluded with chargebacks. People still continue to pay? Velox still manages to scam people?
Yep; still keeping people on their platform and sending out new extortion e-mails regularly. And ofcourse telling lies here and there.
Common strategy to left people out of the house.
Then ban special offers and throw sales for 15/m+ and claim its brandnew bulletproof HA BS well known and multiple selled in Ohio. But its only stocks never set up in datacenter.
He represent it as an asset transfer. So, the leasing contract to DC, the domain, and anything else beside Lewis's customer. But...
He represent it differently every time. The main issue is: he accepted the hardware with users and -data on it.
If he wants to make it look that Lewis is a scumbag he can do that. However, he's not much better and part of the whole scam.
And then saying "there was no such company before, I've created it, I'm not going to change its name" is just utterly stupid.
If I create a new political party here and call it Nederlands Armzalig Zeker Instituut, I bet I won't have a good story in court when I'm saying I'm not changing its name because of some historic thingy that happened and I should not be surprised when people don't want to have anything to do with me.
Agreed. It's strange to spend much effort customizing the front-end. But, he doesn't even consider making new brand.
He want to get customer (not starting from zero), yet he doesn't want their existing contract or the existing customer to chargeback lewis's account (whic he strangely maintained, instead of making new paypal)
People would've start asking you "Gib back mijn fiets"
.
My @VeloxMedia VPS still runs (without a single interruption since about Xmas) and even showed quite decent results in my very recent connectivity benchmark.
Now, obviously my VPS is just one but it's what I have and can judge. AFAIK quite a few others also still have their VPS.
Support was good even during the (early) "war" days.
IMO this is a typical case of "many (more or less) satisfied but largely quiet people are not heard during the massive noise a few angry ones make".
Not at all surprising. You not only had it coming but you basically begged for it. Besides at least some of your deal really were unsustainable, i.e. exactly the kind which lead to Lewis getting out. Plus you screamed at Eric, threw tantrums, and threatened.
This is NOT an attack, just a reminder that fair, cool, and polite tends to be a better approach.
The words you choose give the impression that you have some kind of intelligence, yet upon closer inspection, your statements are brimming with nonsense.
Yeah, if everyone was polite maybe Eric wouldn't have deleted their servers.
And you still believe in Santa. Well done you.
The choice of words used by Eric from the beginning tell me one thing: this is all planned. The use of "intention" to keep everyone on board for instance. I have the intention to give everyone on this forum $1000. Nobody can sue me when I don't deliver. Carefully picking what items you respond to (the whole GDPR discussion and then sending out an e-mail (not GDPR compliant though) just before he thinks the deadline is (because there is some line stating 30 days, but that's a completely different context) but ignoring that he still doesn't comply on several levels to several countries' implementation of GDPR.
I'm still convinced that there still is no "company" VeloxMedia by means of organisation. There is a registered company that is basically 1 person who does this in his free time. Most likely working for a "real" company during daytime that he gains some knowledge from and is making a fata morgana for himself about being that "big hosting provider".
Yup - Justin Morgan
Sorry you can't do the Miami thing 🙁
I am considering buying @VeloxMedia . Should I?
P.S. Eric I know you're reading this. Message me and I'll make you an unbeatable offer.
On Discord:
Eric 25/12/2025 at 14:04 GMT: "Couple reasons. One I can't verify if they get their money back or not so it'll be chaos. 2. its all small amounts so 1000+ chargebacks under the domain likely isn't good for payment gateways when trying to add the new one and 3 its a lot of work for little money right now and I don't have the time. I'd rather take the loss, focus on not having people deal with the hassle on their end and just have everything operational with everything the same as it is, then when renewal time hits they pay me. and all is good. I also don't want to piss off the guy that used to have root access to everyones servers"
So the plan was accepting the temporary loss and maintaining all those annually, biennially, and triennially servers to the renewal time. 🤣
I think it's awesome we're at 170 pages and there are still true believers. There is no way I'm the smartest guy in the room and I tagged this a scam back in September.
Those non-profitable triennially plans with large RAM will definitely be terminated even if everyone was polite. No more fantasy please.
Not jsg's though, he was polite.
I don't think people are that fool as you think if they are the ones who purchase a VPS and have something to deal with that. For the remaining users, if the server is running normally, that would be great, but no renewal in the future. It is highly likely that they will find another alternative provider instead of renewing that server even if they received "perfect" experience at Veloxmedia.
According to previous experience, no matter how jsg is praising Veloxmedia, it does not affect the final result of the great purge. If it is about to be deleted, speaking well and praising it at here doesn't help.
2 theories:
More and more I think "2" is plausible. I mean, by providing the service to "customers" a number of payment providers won't chargeback because you get what you paid for. (That is the case with my payment provider, I asked them and it was a simple answer: "you get the service, you can't chargeback" - and presto, when VPS is deleted the chargeback window has passed. Ofcourse I'm into talks with my payment provider now, but I doubt that they turn around.
No. Starting from zero would give your more brand credibility than acquiring this turd.
Right, that's his plan. But, I would focus on "I also don't want to piss off the guy that used to have root access to everyones servers". That doesn't make any sense.
Also, the decision to use the old PayPal account is plain crazy
