The question is also if hetzner uses also similiar old and worn drives as ovh. In the past i had also an hetzner server and there it was not like it is with kimsufi drives (>6 years and sometimes >70% wear out). I don‘t know how it is currently for hetzner but if they will be close to hetzner with pricing this will be definitely a reason to switch to hetzner for some people.

I have never seen a correlation between age and drive failure. If anything I had more drive/ssd failure on new drive than old one over the years. I have some SSD with more than 10 years of power on time and they are still all running fine.

I doubt it, they have already made the ROI on KS hardware 10x over by now

What I do think is that they'll be less willing to change out non-faulty hardware

In the past I think there was a new thread every time, but this one never ended for some reason. Maybe the deals were too good and on top of that the Mystery in April reignited the flame etc.

Perhaps we could have one thread per year, or per topic:

230 players peak today, 170 currently, no issues whatsoever.
