  • @czed said: Fran, any update on upgrading the NY node? It would be nice to have two CPU threads per subaccount.

may be after they install RHEL/Almalinux on all node we can expect some more of cpu/ram

We're still planning that part. I've spent the past week or two hammering hard on domain stuff.

That's the reason why one should invest in +10-20k€ host systems.
Even if it looks expensive in the first moment it often is the more economical choice considering how long you don't need to touch that system ever again.

Yes and no. Capacity is a real thing as is load balancing. You should compare the relevant services and decide for yourself.

I was referencing newer generation hardware and master nodes and you decided to interject with E3/E5. I don't really see the relevance. Sorry.

We didn’t have Hetrix monitoring local sql since we had offloaded it early last year. When we moved it back to the local server I forgot to update Hetrix monitors.

Issue was a cloudlinux update breaking access to sql. Sorted but took a while since we didn’t get any alerts until shift change.

    @shabaz said:

Also sorted. I’m going to replace MySQL with the stock version later today. We put the cloudlinux builds on this node to test but this is the 3rd time in a couple weeks where it locks up and eats over 100 cores to itself.

  • @Francisco could you please have a look at #CRANE-20032 please? It seems to be a weird issue with SpamExperts that rejects all incoming emails with "550 No such user here" :disappointed:

I would go down the side and 'clear callout cache' if this is a recent thing.

I'll go talk to the guys and get your ticket kicked though :)

PM me your site/server/username and I'll take a peak.

SQL's back to its normal queries/second, so things should be going again.

Yeah  thank you for helping me fixing the issue.

I'm wondering what was the fix. I'm also seeing "DB connection error: could not find driver" after the recent outage, and pdo_mysql enabled as per the PHP Selector.

I’ll check the php selector defaults. For this user I had to make sure the nd_mysql stuff was set in “select php version”

It has nothing to do with the MySQL, it was an improper configuration I have made on SmarterMail interface, I will try to explain bellow to help others:

During Saturday I have moved from default MX records provided by Namecrane to SpamExperts MX records, basically the email is routed now trough SpamExperts.

As I understand, the communication between SpamExperts and SmarterMail is happening trough IMAP and the Inbound IMAP was disabled (by me) in the SmarterMail interface because I was not needed when I configured for the first time my domain with the default MX records.

The fix was to enable back the Inbound SMTP and now everything works as expected.

That’s not the case, it relays it through normal smtp.

Inbound smtp is by default enabled on all users and domains.

Yeah I have mismatched SMTP with IMAP - nothing works for me this weekend

There is a beta on discord.

You can signup on https://namecrane.org/ and you’ll get $10000 Franbux to order some domains.

Dnssec isn’t wired up yet, but the managed dns service should be all good to go. I released docs on GitHub yesterday.

DNS will be free and included with all domains. It won’t be a separate paid service.

Thanks! Could you look into this? It seems like an issue with the defaults and affects the sub domains, phpinfo() does not show pdo_mysql even though it's enabled for the main domain name through the PHP Selector. I cannot find a way to enable extensions for sub domain names. I've DM'd you an affected sub domain.

Can you pm me one of the php info’s? I might have to recompile php if it’s using the DA php.
