According to him/Eric I most likely hadn't. But I didn't file for chargeback though.
Mine neither. Yet. But the same goes for you.
Me neither. Yet. But the same goes for you - or did you get some kind of guarantee that it won't happen?
True
Now that was clear all along, and that's where we differ. Eric is behaving like an *ss (on multiple levels, to multiple people/sites, and about several issues), is not complying with local laws in countries he's trading in, doesn't want to name the people he provide service to "customers", is deliberitely vague about what's going to happen. I'm not someone who reacts upon that with "as long as my VPS is running, I'm fine". That, in my opinion, is a anti-social and especially childish response.
Hi baby dino
hello
From Lowendsprint Moderator MichaelCee: "The fact that Veloxmedia tried to milk these customers for more money" (https://lowendspirit.com/discussion/10431/veloxmedia-deadpool/p3). That is exactly true on what is happening.
The truth is user purchased the server from Veloxmedia (no matter who owns it) and now the contract with plenty of time remaining is forcibly terminated and switched to a new monthly paid service, without any violation to TOS, just because there is an "LET" in the production name. The true reason is that it is impossible to figure out who exactly is saying bad things about Veloxmedia here because there is no relationship between user names, etc. And also this is treated as a threat to LET moderators and try to make them remove the "Suspended" tag from the account.
Despite repeatedly emphasizing that it doesn't need those cheap $10 / year customers, it keeps finding elaborate ways to charge $2 by ignoring the previous contract which has at least 6 months left (or probably 2.5 years) and then threatening and deleting the VPS. Just trying to take whatever money it can get for now (and can only pay with Stripe which may include sharing the key information of your credit card).
On business side, Veloxmedia is not sustainable because it currently has no income from selling VPS but is still paying the bills of those hosting bare metal servers puchased from other providers before. No income, only expenses. But after all these happened here, Veloxmedia has lost its trust among individual customers (both here and at nodeseek.com in China), at least for those who would like to just search for its customer reviews before purchases. So no income from individual customers in the future as well. By the way, according to previous information, it is also involved in enterprise business counted in millions of $. The rest of you should just hope it can gain enough from those enterprise business partners to cover the cost of your VPS until it successfully reaches the end of your current plan (and without being turned into $2 / $4 monthly plan or forcibly terminated). Or you should hope the new owner of Veloxmedia is just doing CHARITY and going to give you access to your VPS (which you did not pay anything directly to them after Dec 21st 2025) in the next 0.5 / 1.5 /2.5 years.
Why would an American choose to register with the ICO to be compliant with GDPR, rather than using one of the other comparable EU entities?
A British person would register with the ICO without thinking about it, but most US Big Tech companies are registered with the Irish Data Protection Office.
Obviously that's a rhetorical question because it's all Lewis and none of the other alts exist...but that guy sure does love posting on forums.
He's going to be posting on NodeSeek in Chinese next....
If he's brave enough, he can give it a try.
He sounds like justinm001 on Reddit
No way it is going to restart at nodeseek.com. Lots of users' server is being cancelled with no reason.

I don't think so. I went to see what that website was and everyone already knows it was a scam.
It's a bit of a massive leap from "I noticed it's still up" to "still using".
I've lost track, are you one of Eric's alts or are you one of the sheep?> @hennaboy said:
I forgot, are you on of Eric's alts or just one of his sheep?

Compiling updates soon!
You should e-mail Lewric and ask for doubled bandwidth as you might need it soon!
Maybe he has some 30Gb RAM as freebie
Before i got banned his last reply in the ticket was "contact your bank and ask them about a chargeback". Before he wrote me this i have never asked them about a chargeback, so he wanted me to do a chargeback and shortly after he banned me from their customer portal.
Where have i said that im still using their server?
I opened a paypal case and they decided the case in my favor after 60 seconds. Its nice you defending them. Its veloxmedia problem if they ban me and tell me i need to do a chargeback because they will delete my server but forgot to delete the server. Btw im not using it, my monitor i installed on the server just tells me it is still up.
Hop on them alts boys
The chargeback is immediate because the amount is lower than $20. Making it seem like PayPal understands whats going on, its more they dont want to deal your petty ass.
I paid 60 pounds. Paypal refunds are immediate cause veloxmedia paypal account is flagged.
I installed different honeypots on the veloxmedia server shortly before he banned me and thousands of fresh ips are hitting the different honeypots daily, which i find kinda funny
Mmmmmm honey.
40 years ago a good friend told me his professional, well-to-do father had lost all his life savings.
A "regular guy" had befriended the dad, and for well over a year visited his home and brought fine steaks to grill and good liquor and told funny "earthy" stories that were exciting, about things not common in the professional world. He even gave the teenage kids used cars for nothing.
He promised the professional man that he had inside connections to get him an exclusive franchise to sell a prominent luxury item in that area. It cost a few hundred thousand dollars for the franchise fee, and additional to pay off the "inside" people who were helping out regular guy.
The price kept going up, and the professional man kept paying, believing the excuses. Eventually, the wealthy man was totally tapped out of cash.
The regular guy disappeared. The police told the professional man he had been scammed, there had been no dealings with the manufacturer, this was a long con, they saw it before, they had no leads on who regular guy was.
A few months later, the son told me he asked his dad what he now thought about regular guy.
"I don't care about the money, I just wish we could hang out again."
I didn't read here since days but
FWIW: I did not get an email from @VeloxMedia/Eric, I can login to the client panel and my VPS is running fine without any interruption since about Christmas, when they provided support and I reinstalled it.
And I guess many others experienced something very similar. If VeloxMedia keeps my VPS up and and properly working for my full contract period I'm quite likely to renew it even if they increase the price somewhat (say up to 30%).
That's all I'm interested in. Facts.
