How many humans do you know who accept mud-slinging, insults, and the like as acceptable criticism without not caring a rat's ass? An option most providers simply don't have if they want to sell anything here. I guess your list won't be long.

You're forgetting some basic rules of trading:

    1. The customer is always right
    2. If the customer isn't right, don't tell him directly
    3. Always think about your public immage
    4. Stubborn behaviour is a no-no for anyone in trade
    5. If given advice from customers don't act like a jerk that you know better
    6. Never ever threaten a customer

All 6 of these weren't done by him. It's action/reaction. Even when pointed out laws from their source, he's denying they are there or he has to act by it. From day 1 he's threatening people.

You cannot deny that his behaviour here is the main reason for the (in your eyes) insults.

So I wonder how you came to the - IMO wrong - conclusion that Eric has poor self-control. He in fact rationally explained how he came to the conclusion to terminate many/most/(hopefully not) all VPS.

Have a psychologist look at the way this thread is going and the things he said and I 99.9% know for sure he'll share the conclusion that he lost self control a few times. I mean, even a simpel "I'm done with this this was my last message here on LET" and returning within a page is one of the things that you know either the first message was typed at some moment of losing himself. And why return? Maybe because he just liked the beating and wanted to have it a bit more. I don't know.

Its always about attitude. Like, this week another host accidentally deleted my server. Sure, I wasn't happy but they handled it professionally, hence no drama.

Just a week ago, a provider here accidentally connected my dashboard's VNC to some totally random person's server. I looked around and it turned out I was accidentally connected to someone running an illegal phishing campaign. I reported it and the phisher got shut down, and then I got accidentally connected to another VPS that wasn't mine.

But at least my VPS wasn't suspended! (It's still down though)

I want @VeloxMedia to promise to honour the contracts to term. I don't understand why you wouldn't want that.

Better than just making a promise (which I think he already did), I'd like to see him formally transfer the contracts to himself so that he is duty bound to honor them. I suggested that before but was ignored.

You're late to the party, I see

Went very quickly from @VeloxMedia saying all of the customers were happy to none of the customers were happy.

I had followed the thread til 48 page and was active then, now I don't have time or investment to follow another 50-ish pages again to get summary

TLDR, can anyone explain whats happened between 48 - 97? Seems that another controversy happened?

Lots of back and forth of people (mostly me) explaining to him how the GDPR works, and he made several statements that prove actual violations, and intent to continue violating the law even after he was explained to him what the law says. He spent a lot of time sending us links to bits of the regulation that he thought meant he could break the law, in every case what he thought was an exception was an explicit clarification that the law covers his situation.

He admitted falsely filing fraud reports on every customer that had charged back regardless of reason, for the sole reason of trying to cause them problems with their bank and future purchases elsewhere. This was just after he'd been encouraging everyone to charge back if they weren't happy. He then doubled down saying he'd automated it.

He finally agreed to drafting a letter asking for everyone's consent to hold their data.

He was bragging about how the LET admins were totally cool with him scamming everyone and that his tag would be reinstated very shortly. DP turned up and gave him a warning in thread.

About half an hour later, he threatened to delete everyone's accounts because it was what we wanted. A few people said that he wouldn't dare.

Sara mentioned that she was a happy customer, so much so that she'd bought a second VPS after Eric had taken over. Eric said that wasn't possible. Sara showed the invoice. He deleted her server and banned her from discord.

Eric took the chat over to discord which is his happy place. Called us all scammers and then tried to explain himself. Explained himself by saying that he was going to terminate all the LET plans because we all hate him, and keep all the other plans. People started asking questions and he banned them all from discord.

He hasn't been back here since, and nobody is left on discord to give us further updates.

All in all, quite eventful for a Thursday.
