I want to be crystal clear about this specific ticket. The user's 1st order was with Lewis's account then he ordered right when Lewis removed his stripe to a generic one so it failed processing and stuck in pending and didn't actually charge his card for the 2nd order, thus didn't activate the order. I didn't approve this super cheap deal so made sure unpaid and cancelled it.
He was billed for 1 VPS and entitled to 1 VPS per the terms of that specific agreement. I think he saw the pending and thought he was scammed.
Choice as in choosing name.

Based on your previous statements (which is quite mixed up), people are not sure if they will get to keep their current deals (deadpool level or normal) with you or not.
You made quite controversial statements, like you have the keys to kingdom, and it's all up to you to keep the servers on or not.
So people not risking it and asking for refund (or doing chargeback). If I were you, I would stop these statements. Spend some time and check the customers' deals, and if you think it's unsustainable give them time in advance and offer refund for the remaining time. And yeah there is a little problem that, Lewis got the money for those deals and you will have to refund out of your pocket.
Or just make a broad statement saying the current deals will be honored till the current expiry dates then you will decide to keep them or not. But keep in mind that some people bought 3 year deals from Velox.
I'm not Velox customer (luckily) and I never liked the @itsTomHarper dude, so I am just sharing my opinion.
What other hosting company did you run?
@VeloxMedia My server is down, please help
Ticket #LSR-019495
Okay. So, Lewis didn't even bother to shutdown the sales as he transfered (partially, since he didn't transfer the monetary asset) it to you. And tons of edge cases flooded the ticketing system.
What if he says "Your mom"?
You can spend 20 hours a day but you can’t tell us who you are because it’s christmas?
How retarded do you think the community is?
You can’t have a contract with VeloxMedia because legally speaking it didn’t exist AFAIK, sole trader and all
You can type this but not who you are…
@FAT32 @angstrom @DP can we give this guy a deadline to tell us who he is since he has access to lots of personal data and if no response just ban the account?
Do you have experience in helping businesses protect, optimize, and grow through smart technology solutions? Is your mission to make IT simple, secure, and reliable for companies that need dependable support without the high cost of in-house teams? Are you built on trust, transparency, and results?
How much time to you need to create a fake identity?
mine too ,over 1 hours now
thats not a question any more.
its a statement.
Multiple attacks going on right now. 2 so far from internal clients. Thank others on here
I don't think that's a good idea. If the mods ban the account, many customers will miss out on updates, and they haven't been properly informed. The majority of customers haven't received any updates because no official email has been sent, and I'm sure many are still unaware of what's happening. The only place they're discussing it is on Discord and on this forum. But obviously, not every customer is there on Discord.
Just tell us the truth Lewis you'll feel better.
How much time do you realistically feel it should take to create a legitimate US corporation during Christmas week? Attorneys, accounting, file a public statement and everything? What's a fair timeline for you?
If he can’t tell us who he is all the while having access to everyone elses personal details I don’t see why anyone would need updates. Chargeback and move on I guess.
I’d prefer if we got to know what company took over this thing but that doesn’t seem to be possible (because of christmas, somehow) so I think banning and moving on is very justified, after a deadline of course.
Never thought I'd see @emgh being this pissed at someone
Furthermore, customer transactions were conducted with Veloxmedia, and all payments were received into Veloxmedia accounts. You must understand that Veloxmedia has been the consistent entity throughout. If you now represent Veloxmedia, then take responsibility.
Are you currently forming a company? What previous hosting company did you have experience in running?
That's a hard one. How can one chargeback if service is running as advertised?
I don’t think the new owner can argue that what he’s doing is fulfilling the duties owed by Lewis if he refuses the idea that contracts are with him now.
He can’t really have it both ways.
A trustworthy and professional company first officially emails their customers rather taking part in conversation on a third-party forum. Why you still hiding that the owners have changed OR are they not officially yet? I've never seen any web host here hiding from their customers about change of ownership as its the most important part of business. Just change in name of the person who replies to customers support tickets or who handles the forum profile is nowhere important. First goes the email in customer's inbox and then comes the forum post.
It's right that a user has asked mods to ban Velox Media's account here. I'll rather say, just suspend it for time being. If deals are honoured then unsuspend it. We have seen many such culprits who pretend to have sold their hosting biz just to avoid unsustainable offers in long-term and have got their accounts banned. As a community we are not interested if the owner is change from X to Y. We are interested if allowing you to advertise your business here further if you are not honoring what was advertise few days ago and people bought it. When you fully audit what products to keep and what to not, and start with zero, then better reapply for provider tag here. This will ensure lots of innocent users visitin LET who have not read Velox Media's this thread will not fall prey to buy from a summer-host.
Furthermore, how can you have an agreement with an unknown entity?
its wild that you got attacked immediately after taking the VeloxMedia over, so now I have a conspiracy theory: was the attack real, or just an excuse?
is there anything that can prove you were actually attacked? because you can still manually take down all stuff and then claim to have been attacked. I also don’t know how you came to the conclusion that the attack came from internal clients.
of course, it’s fine if you can’t prove any of this. I can just wait because I literally can't do anything about this.
Why do you need to create a legitimate US corporation when you're already a registered business? During the early part of this discussion, the former owner indicated that Benthost took over.

💀
Yeah, but one can't just complain to the bank or payment processor of a chargeback because a company or a brand was sold to someone else. There is no legal grounds for such reasoning.
If however the new owner would announce that they need to discontinue the service which was previously paid, that's a different scenario, but they didn't announce something like that officially. This is a huge mess customers are in, without their fault.
In my opinion @VeloxMedia should do everything in their power to reverse this mess, and give back to Lewis (or whatever the name of that scammer) their whole mess to deal with it personally (since he was a sole trader). With each passing day this legal scam heads further into its fruition, while its old owner is already chilling and relaxing.
