I even messaged a couple people here on the forum and was like LOL LOOK AT THIS SCAM COMING.
Maybe some lessons were learned.
I spent $7 on an annual server, just to try this provider and give it the benefit of the doubt. Now if it goes down, I would lose millions too.
That's why I don't trust triennial plans from new hosting companies. It's just a waste of time and money.

Not in the mood to replace the Visa I've had for the past 4 years that's linked to 300 other things because some kid on Discord is preventing me from removing the details - they're using stripe so I'll just lodge a merchant complaint and encourage others to do the same

Wait, it's probably because it's the default payment. Add unused card, set it as default, then delete the 300 linked-service Visa
I don't just have an unused card lying around, I don't even have an active service with Velox so it's insane to me I'm being prevented from removing and editing saved CC details.
This is a problem with WHMCS. Since Lewis removed his Stripe, WHMCS can't remove the card from Stripe so errors. I can remove them and have it ignore the error but its one account at a time.
I'm not sure if I can just delete from the DB or what. WHMCS just stores the last 4 of the card and nothing else.
Pop a ticket and ill get it removed for you
Beanman109, just change the default car with another card that's going to expire in next month or two. They can't charge you with the old expiry date&cvv.
Bro I don't know who you think I am but I have literally one visa card, I'm not some MJJ with 1000 different carded visas ready to go at one time, the system is verifying that you're entering real details with Stripe in live mode.
You can't even edit the expiry in the client portal.
Well, I guess not all people has dozens of debit& credit card with their own legal name like myself. And not all banks offers multiple debit nor virtual card with rechargeable balance.

Now seeing how this has gone down and seeing how much of a massive cluster fuck this has been, makes me want to never ever have a service from this company. More so I think the original owner was naive and an idiot thinking one could simply hand over the keys to the kingdom. I bet you didn't have a plan going in(which is evident) and I also bet you have 0 customer service skills or even an idea what the hell you've offered to take over.
Here's an idea.
Stop accepting orders. Look over the books. Look over the inventory you have. Look over the customers that are either backing up (cause they are smart), worried(because nobody knows who you are), stressed(because this thread has mentioned some shit show actions) and how bad you look right now.

New orders isn't an issue, as long as they're sustainable prices. The resources are there to scale. The current issue is all of Lewis's clients and how to fund the hosting for them.

And I didn't build that site. There's a ton of issues, I'm actually building a new basic one just to put up temporarily. But have been working all night with our hosts to replace drives and closing the tickets. Lots of work for free.

Yes definitely. The problem is there has to be some way to break even or ability to make a profit. Otherwise there's no point. If I shut everything down and walk away I'll have a merry christmas and live a very happy life and not a thought ever again about VeloxMedia.
I'd lose more than anyone else here as I've already spent a couple grand just keeping the servers running, and will be spending a few more grand in the next few days. I'm the only one here that's losing right now. Everyone's servers are up and running, Lewis is off living life free and clear, and I'm paying the bills trying to make it work.

I've received a few orders and cancelled most of them. I'm not going to accept a super cheap order so will just refund them if processed.
There's a lot of moving parts and its a lot to go through. My efforts have been in keeping everything online and making sure everyone is able to work, its very time consuming. Then working through getting access to all the accounts, resetting logins, making sure its all secured and no issues or problems. Fixing the problems I find. Just fixed 3 servers with bad drives tonight. its 1230am and I'm making sure the nvme rebuilds properly on the servers just to be certain.
Nobody knows who you are. You seem shady as shit. I gave you pretty honest feedback and stuff you need to do now. If you don't know what you are doing, say so. If you need extra hands, get those extra hands.

From customer point of view, nothing has changed since you are using the same brand. same company.
Now it will come to whether you own the brand or not (servers and brand are separate entity unless the contract transfers both but I doubt you have made a proper agreement in the first place. If that is the case, you may get screwed. So take it as a well wisher advice).
