Invoice # 111584 Dear Boss, my order status is "Pending Activation," but some users have been able to use it immediately after payment. I hope this can be addressed. I'm wondering if it's because I entered google.com as the hostname. When I entered it, I wasn't aware that was the domain I was supposed to bind, as I knew there were no restrictions on accounts.
Great offer. One quick question: Where exactly (city) is the server location for the reseller accounts? @jar
For others setting up a new account... something I wasn't aware of when I setup mine last year; the hostname ends up being your username, the first 8 charachters, minus punctuation. So if you enter google.com, your username would end up being googleco.
This isn't important, as long as it doesn't prevent the service from being activated.
maybe there's some sort of filter on obvious names? i used timestamp.local or something last time i signed up, for similar reasons.
There's still 5 cPanel boxes left too
Not yet but I figured might as well take my shot
I like that, just tried.
Picked one up as per yearly tradition. Impeccable service.
New interface looks great. Will it be MXroute branding only or customisation options planned?
I'm debating with myself whether or not to finalize reseller features before pushing it to prod.
Looks great. I appreciate the reliability of your service.
I like it. Clean. Provides only what you need.
Do you have a specific feedback channel for it?
Wherever. Here or #projectlog in Discord. Still touching up a few pieces but no reason we can't have this in production (alongside DA, not blocking it, just not giving DA links to new customers) by end of the month.
One feedback I'm expecting though, I'm listening to but I may stand my ground on. A lot of features have been removed from the Spam Filters config page. Most of the features that were removed from the Spam Filters page caused users, through no fault of their own, to configure themselves into frustrating situations. Often the reliance on those very features was a direct result of configuring their spam filters in such a way that it caused a problem that they had to solve with another one of those features. We need to break this cycle, and that is why setting one of the presets here is expected to remove the reasons you felt that you needed those other features to begin with.
I take it the new control panel will be rolled out to other servers in coming weeks/months ?
For now it's working for all users on DA servers. I plan to have a translation later for cPanel soon.
I wish for smtp relay service from jar. Just like mail.baby, but with a touch of fanatical attitude towards delivery.
I've got a GOOD idea for how I'm going to handle it too. You're really going to like the way the pricing works.
jar.baby inc
Mail is delivered, we pay, mail is not delivered, mxroute pays us?
MASSIVE updates to our new panel for testing. Users with 2FA enabled in DA can now successfully utilize it at the temporary URL of https://mxpanel.jar.land.
Updates:
At this point we're just looking to identify the bugs that aren't identical (but slightly better due to visible explanations and warnings) to problems that users already have to live with in DirectAdmin. Then we need to add cPanel backend translation and reseller management.
Great. Highly recommend the delivery.
If I have accounts on Wednesday & Witcher, can I use that panel? @jar
Yep. There's a server selection box now. Eventually I'll have smart routing for the login, but we have 88 user accounts that have the same username on more than one server so it'll take a while (username changes break Crossbox).
Obviously the name is either @jar or @yoursunny
Can't imagine it being anything else.
What happened to http://mxlogin.com/ ?
It used to be a webmail login.
Now the HTTP edition is “nothing here” and HTTPS edition has certificate error.
Confirmed.
As above, the system is unable to pick the proper server(-s) automatically.
Not sure if it's just me (on Taylor) but I see 3 domains (correct) with disk usage of 25.5M but each domain shows 152K, are these just placeholders or have I misunderstood?
The new dashboard is pretty neat and nice. When is it accessible in the client area?
For now it's inheriting those values from DA and there's a laundry list of reasons they're wrong. The highlight of it should be that the incorrect values favor the user rather than the opposite. Some servers will see quota a little better after next hardware replacement, but DA quota handling is never what I want it to be. The next step is to build our own quota handling system. Honestly it's for the best anyway, all DA can do to enforce quota is suspend the account at storage cap.
Conservative estimate would be end of the month for production rollout. Moving fast but also pausing for feedback and bug reports.
I think if storage was to ever run out on my account, I'd prefer some system allowing charged for extra storage with a price cap, rather than having inbound mail rejected.
