You probably have to wait for KS-5 to be returned to base which in turn will be handed out as baguette KS-LE-B.

E.g like the one delivered to @smizz in RBX today. This looks like a re-labeled KS-5.

  • @almanac said: OVH have for years said that they do custom racks and form factors. The fact it's an mATX board is likely because that was cheapest.

Hmmmm, in video they have ×2 servers per something that is kinda like standard 19 inch rack, but from front and back. That explains a lot in a floor plans on visual status page: https://vms.status-ovhcloud.com/index_lim1.html

Still, it would be great to have $10/mo 1u somewhere to house own hardware :(

    You look at it.

  • @yopp said: how do you pass encryption key at boot? manually over cursed java applet?

Remotely with Dropbear SSH is an option. Example: https://cyberciti.biz/security/how-to-unlock-luks-using-dropbear-ssh-keys-remotely-in-linux/.

@plumberg said: Luks2 with Full Disk Encryption

Dropbear-initramfs on Debian-based or Dracut on Rhel. Dropbear-initramfs works well with Luks2 + EXT4 and ZFS with native encryption. You need to set up the network parameters in Grub and initramfs and after the reboot, connect on SSH, provide the unlock password and system will complete the boot process.

I've been using it since 2022 when I ordered my Kimsufi dedi. Works well.

And as OVH not provide this feature with installer from the panel, easiest way to use encrypted disks is boot to rescue and bootstrap a new Debian installation.

    Thanked by 3webcraft loay plumberg
  • You can also copy https://github.com/netbootxyz/netboot.xyz to the EFI partition and boot it from the UEFI menu.

Then you can run any distro's proper installer
