lol thank you
I have two Kimsufi (KS) servers that both show a private network interface in the backend.
The interfaces are visible, active, and configured (eno4 / eno4.10 with VLAN 10).
However, when I try to attach them to a vRack, I always get the following error:
Is there any way to make this private network actually functional between KS servers?
Or is this interface just a legacy/remnant from older setups that is no longer usable?
Edit: seems to not be true, there are kimsufi machines with functioning vrack
I’ve had a few KS-* that had dregs of vrack available but it was never functional; I believe I’ve seen others on this interminable thread say the same.
I’d assume it’s like everything else - these are random old machines that had other uses so might have a bonus physical nic, but the provisioning system knows it’s Kimsufi and so won’t plumb it together.
One of the more annoying things is how hard it is to the delete the partially configured vrack.
My KS-MYSTERY 2288G has working vRack. But I guess its an exception.
Ah, that is good to know; mine were of less impressive cpu.
I have a hard time letting go this one
i'm in love with all my ks-le and mystery even if i don't need all of them
Hubba hubba
Ssd is Kool too
YABS plz
Yes but... you can get 2x KS-LE-B for the price of a MYSTERY.
10gig is nice and all, the CPU is strong yes, but is it worth paying double though?
I didn't get nothing yet
@DediRock you didnt hook me up yet
I know, but YABS when you get it.
You got it
I don’t know
That’s why I have 2 x KS-LE-B + Mystery
MYSTERY can run some tiny LLM models quite well
Yea I abused my MYSTERY for that, Xeon G was best for LLM.
Since the MYSTERY and the KS-LE-B are both DDR4, performance for LLM should be about the same.
Especially if you have the same fat NVMe, loading into memory should be fast.
Okay interesting. Need to test that to compare the performance
Hm..
I'm gonna check mine. I am pretty sure mine is non functional.
The mystery was slightly better, but the main bottleneck is the DDR4 speed.
MONEY
Nah...
Yeah. You give me money.
Even my E5-v4 has it and vrack was working. I guess most KS-Mystery works. Anyway, I already cleared out all mine as I don't have any EYPC or 2288G..
Ya that's an issue... OVH has drained my wallet for upcoming BF
Mine is also a E5-v4... But it is in BHS so I guess despite my lucky lottery of 128GB and dual 1.92TB NVMe... vRack is MIA...
E5 is just slow for LLM's.
I don't LLM.
You can still use your credit card or pay later card.
anyone success on installing windows 11 on the kimsufi ?
KS-LE-D Intel Core i7-4790K - 4c/8t - 4GHz/4.4GHz
i stuck on the VNC using many tutorials out there, it is only show windows logo on installation
I'm on the same boat cause I can't install any windows version. It always crashes when loading the windows installer. I don't think it's possible to install windows cause it's not listed as a compatible OS

It seems only KS-LE-C & KS-LE-E is compatible with Windows
Good morning, no signs of KS-LE-B yet.
