Is HostDZire Sustainable?

Thank you @FAT32 - Meanwhile I was preparing a benchmark for @zed so here it is:
I would have concerns if it was "IN CloudVPS #5 (Kerger Special)".
Wow that is impressive, glad I missed it so I'm not in any way responsible for the deadpooling of @HostDZire and I will definitely miss my $24 wdc unit, you greedy bastards.
I don't know if any customer is greedy at this point. Remember: the stock should have been 5. It is not anybody's fault that a limited event with a flash special of 5 turned into 120.
EDIT: The only issue would be the provider getting greedy for about $3840.
You could have said gosh this is definitely unsustainable and so we should not purchase this because we are nice!
I'd like to grab one of the $32 flash sale packages.
Is it back on stock? Send me the link please
Here we go again...
The direction of the discussion has gone a bit off. Please close the thread.
@FAT32 Is right,
It all started as fun, later it became real.
We had no idea about other forums, but their admin requested me to do some deals there too, so we went there and did it.
Then later i thought why not clear stock, after all we had lots of servers lying there in rack.
So we created more plans and sold it.
Remember!
I am not complaining that we sold many.
Users are complaining why we sold many
Till now i didn't get even 5 complains of performance issues.
Because there isn't, all node are running normal. Uses are within good range.
We got some complains for disk I/O being 3-4GB/s range
Because our yabs were showing like 7-8GB/s
For this we already given explanation, that all node doesnt have NVMe with Raid.
So 3-4GB/s is single NVMe performance, which is only possible if there is no high load.
CPU performance also is within good range,
Again diff diff cpu, diff diff results. eg some multi core is like 7-10k range.
But not dramatically low,
We can see the node load, if we had seen high load, then we could have easily offered refund to clients who complained.
I have seen some people doing stress testing to check performance,
Even then performance is within acceptable range.
But users are welcome to give your inputs.
We have nothing to loose here,
For deals like this its easy to offer refund, because remember we didnt made money out of this, we just cleared stock
Even now we have lots of Intel Lying in rack, powered off to save power
This performance is good right ?
well, they are resellers, do you know how the reseller program works
sales reach $10000, 5% profit
sales reach $20000, 10% profit
etc...
all they care about is sales number, more sales = more discount from datacenter = more profit
Relax, it’s all good. Word is the servers took a tumble off a truck in Guangzhou, China — premium sourcing strategy
I'm happy so far. I can't complain. You will never see me asking for refund based on a fear of future. Nobody can know the future, therefore I reflect at the moment of now and learning from history. So far you provided the service as advertised, while your brand exists since 2014. Right now I can only say "Thank You" with a sincere respect.
Back then (when I ordered) I would have happily accepted if you could not have provided to me the service, just in case I was beyond the first 5. But that was not the case. So again: I have respect for you in managing this in a professional way!
I hope you know what you are doing, because at the end of the day you have to make money and put bread on your table. That said, this is why I share a bit of a worry with others - I don't want to see people failing - I want to see them thrive, especially low-end providers with 10+ years of history.
That 32-FAT32 special was too great of a deal.
I am pretty sure on this Indian provider that they're thriving as a business and I hope that they will survive the next 10 years here on LET 😅
I wish LET has emoji reaction for this. Thanks is not enough, I wanna give
To this day, I believe I could grab that too good to be true $32 FAT32 deal only because of @HostDZire generosity. Because I cannot compete in terms of speed.
TBH, I was expecting that deal to never see the light ever again, because again, it simply too good to be true. Hope you all the success!
Nobody knows the future. One thing is certain: provider won't be able to increase prices, at least not on the current global economy, otherwise customers will leave faster than you can say "host" trailing behind a sour taste spiced with awful reviews.
When I’m not a broke student I’m going to send @HostDZire a bottle of tequila!
India VPS, Server price is very high.
India is just getting started, it will take time since price will become like EU, US.
So, i think we will have like 5 years till we will see many other providers offering deals like this.
There will always be something new to sell, currently GPU servers are being sold at good prices. So similarly, there will always be something which we can sell with a good margin.
All hosts are different, and the finances are different, lots of variables involved.
Me too! Big thanks to HostDzire!
Dude, make that deals as Non-Transferrable.
I mean, it may sound stinky. But it helps in Long Run.
Stay Sustainable mate & don’t be on verge of Deadpool
We already added some terms for transferring.
You mean?
Given the current prevalence of persons relying on ChatGPT to write their posts, it no longer seems like a question of literacy — it looks more like a path toward Idiocracy.
Please elaborate on this.
Well, this is LET ...
Not quite, anyway not generally. Depends a lot on perspective. I for example got one as a reference due to its good connectivity. And it also makes sense for well over a billion people, and I'm not even counting Indians here. Simple reason: one can reach a large region with about 100 ms to 150 ms stripped off.
Well, I intentionally did not get or even try to get one of the @FAT32 specials but a (quite decent) normal one. Two reasons:
To be frank, normally I would hold the FAT32 special against the provider because it would harm my trust in them. But I don't because HostDZire earned to be in my personal Top-3 list due to good prices, good quality, consistency, and good support.
Finally 120 VPS is next to nothing for a provider like HostDZire a provider who is good end big enough to be a significant Leaseweb partner and those who seriously wonder whether HostDzire still is financially stable just make me laugh out loud.
That said, still please don't do something like the FAT32 special again! You are a serious top provider so please act like that!
Well said. If only I can always resist the temptation but tbh most of us likely wont need such a beast so I settled with 8C16G which still too much for me but I mainly went for the bigger disk (it only comes with bigger spec so no choice).
long live HostDZire
No, it makes no sense to get a vps in India unless your market is India. If your market is oriental Asia, it makes much more sense to get a vps in SG, HK, JP, or even west coast US. This argument is even stronger especially with restrictive Indian laws, and the bandwidth limit makes it no better than SG. $32/year is practically giving them away, and that in itself tells you a whole lot about the demand for it. There's no other perspective. You can run yabs and feel good about the connectivity, but at the end of the day, it's nothing more than a poor but cheap substitute for a good vps in Singapore.
