So, it's SOUNDARYA INFOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED or Readydedis, LLC who develops and maintain the product?

Both are my entities, SIPL is Indian RD is American

    So, let me rephrase:
Who is legally responsible in case of a serious data breach or catastrophic security issues? The indian company or the american one?

    The Indian one

India? Now, all is clear… Why in India software development is so difficult? I mean do you have any automated testing? Regression testing for future releases? Or just go live and fck it?

So, where does it say it on the product website? Do people have to guess that your indian entity is responsible for thier and thier client's data?

RD operates as a sister concern and holds the authority to distribute licenses for the software. The software’s liability falls under the jurisdiction where it is developed, tested, and released.

Since RD manages license distribution, the maintenance, lifecycle, and client data associated with these licenses are subject to US jurisdiction. This ensures that users have the appropriate avenues to raise concerns should any issues arise.

From a legal standpoint, as the owner, I retain accountability for both the software and its distribution. The decision to use RD for licensing is primarily driven by the flexibility of payment methods available in the US, including Stripe, PayPal, Wise, and Bitcoin—options that facilitate smoother transactions for our clients.

@Andreix, I’d like to better understand your perspective. Given that your initial comments do not indicate an interest in the product or its roadmap, nor do you appear to be a potential client, I’m curious about the intent behind your engagement on this thread. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but if your aim is simply to criticize without contributing meaningfully, I’d appreciate clarity on your position.

I believe I raised valid points related to the product itself and how me (as a visitor) see your product.

I have not said you did bad or good, I only gave you my perspective on your product, since you opened this thread for all members of LET (where I also qualify since 2015).

With the last message(s) I wanted to emphasize of the fact that your product users, besides they may want to - they have the right to have disclosed (hence your obligation) who is responsible for the security of their data.

Like it or not, different countries have different general standards in different industries. I might feel safe with US or EU standards, but not feel safe with UK, IN or XYZ country. I should know what to expect before making the purchase. Your should clearly disclose that American LLC is only selling licenses and ultimately an indian company is the real developer, as it is confusing.

PS: You are offering a 30 day Trail on your homepage.

I guess we have very different definitions of the word "bad".
For example - and just as an example - something bad is an insult: nohavps is an idiot.

An analysis, for example is not something bad: I think nohavps lacks the knowledge for basic terminology.

Let the project develop. You're not a potential client, apparently. You've already explained your points, okay, very well. Let others see if they're interested in the panel or not.

I don't have to get into these discussions. I'm just telling you, what's the point of only looking for bad things instead of good ones?

Maybe because I would like to have a product without all those "bad" things?! Unless I am banned from ever purchasing the product... in this case I wouldn't give a f.

@Andreix, if you have good intention then hopefully you also understand that product is in early stages, its rewrite from V1. Let the product get mature and I am sure your suggestions about security and clarity will be sorted in coming future.

More competition, more choices are always good in market. I believe that more user should adopt it to make it better.

Perhaps you should try it and point out bugs and issue and help it to get better.

Am I not allowed to engage in this thread if I am not a client or willing to become one?

Calm down, leave him alone. We all deserve a chance. What he's done isn't something many of us can do, and we depend on panels like Virtualizor, SolusVM, etc.

Just a few details are missing, and I think it will be a great option.

Well, I just expressed my thoughts related to this topic. Feel free to do the same if you have suggestions for him.

I think "leaving him alone" or communist-like approval without criticism is a guaranteed road to failure for anyone. :)

You only criticized the project, I think it's fine, we can all express ourselves, but you only published bad things. You already expressed your points, ready, go ahead and let's let the project develop and we'll see how it went.

Can you please highlight 5 bad things I expressed in this thread related to the project? I could find none.

Well, look at just three pages. I won't enter into a discussion, as I told you. Let the topic develop, not just your opinions. It's only Monday to start discussions.

I guess we have very different definitions of the word "bad".
For example - and just as an example - something bad is an insult: nohavps is an idiot.

An analysis, for example is not something bad: I think nohavps lacks the knowledge for basic terminology.

I am near my quota limit for this thread?!

I am begining to feel, we need a user block feature within LET for an individual peace of mind. So, that I can just block a few user comments from being shown in the thread and enjoy my coffee.

  • @BharatB Hmm.. I think I will give a try. Some guides, eg. Proxmox to hypervsior, virtualizor to hypervisor, etc.. will help.

We are offering to help with migrations manually at this point, as

    1. Virtualizor relies on tinkering with the filesystem by mounting the image on the host node and making changes
    2. Proxmox OS based on debian, does not use libvirt under the hood, so again not compatible with our codebase, however the disk images can be used directly without any modifications by doing inplace copy again our disk images of the newly created vms.

    Hello,

Excuse me, is there any major company that uses your services today? We'd like to see the experiences of providers who use your services.

I dont think we have onboarded any major level customer yet, we are in talks with an Australian one and are adding relevant features for them in order to help with onboarding.

  • @BharatB You should add a lifetime or yearly cheap option for non commercial use or atleast 30 days~ ish trial for the same.

30 days trials gets activated automatically upon installation, lifetime doesnt make sense to me, however, yearly can be done if interested please open a support ticket :)

  • To me lifetime makes sense for
Lifetime per Version for homelap or private use (No billing system integration)
    Example V2 Lifetime costs $75
But when V3 releases they would need a new license for another $75 or allow them to just continue using V2 at their own risk.

  • Nice product! I’ll recommend it on the Nodeloc community.
