• Stop using the letter "c" in your name 🚫 (rebrand to host-exact.com or sth) - this is a hard one
• Drop new STORAAJ DEALS on LET 💾 (preferably under $20 (twenty)/y (year) for 2TB (two terabytes)) - ok, might do something here.
• Pay mr. Wad Hah. a compensation equivalent of 5.14€ 💰💶 (five euro fourteen euro cents) - pffff, too much "sir"
• Book him a session with thai sisters 🇹🇭 (optional) - since it is optional, it will remain like that
• Introduce Fruit and Vegetable as payment method - cannot due to copyright infringement, this was already taken by Billy the Kid.
Damn fake DMCA hitting hard, let's see if @host_c will cave.
As @emgh was in Thai lande for a month, I believe he counts as Thai sister.
Noted, so I can ask him to make use of he's skils???
Billy the kid

Any promo?
That is the kid + 1 asset in the background.
@host_c @wadhah
The team of elite lawyers has come up with a proposed solution:
Host-C will be allowed to keep using the letter "C" but as compromise it shall withdraw all AMD-based VPS services from production within 30 days
Please inform the lawyers if you agree with the proposal, thanks
yap, that actually happened, sorry for that folks.
Affected customers got notified + their options + compensations.
That asset is indeed @emgh
Well, in that case, we
@emgh

Possibel send you 2 sisters for the price of just 1.
I doubt they will cave. Such serious lawsuit will cause permanent damage to their reputation.
We appreciate you considering our demands.
Now, where $20/y storaaj dealz?
Please include more than 4 IOPS
Dealzz after we get the stuff, should not take more than 14 days or so.
IOPS wise, Hmm, maybe we can do ~3K max on the addon drive.
We can do 16 IOPS on the NVME, since it is larger then the 4 asked.
deal?
With your storage servers, the deal is already sealed before you even write up the deal.
Hmm, I just got an email from @host_c saying they are planning to do something big on July 1st.
That will destroy my uptime! I’ll lose billions on that day, I demand compensation!!!!!!!
This just made me cry in the supermarket while i was buying Fruit and Vegetabl for dinner
ahh, ok, I thought trillions, billions is fine with me
payed 22k in crypto?
I asked Stu to send out a clarification mail on eligible products for the free upgrade to Scale Gen 2, here is the list for those that have fake mail accounts do not check their mail
:
Eligible VPS Plans for Free Upgrade:
Mostly all the BF / Xmass deals that were on E5-V4.
Again, these will be done by my team and there will only be a power off / on at the end of the LIVE migration so CPU type can be read by the OS you have. Probably 1-3 minutes downtime / VPS.
$3/yr 500gb storage possibel my it s show everything my it s learn it s thailen
I am hating this guy more and more. Good offers [that I never managed to catch!] and now he upgrading things for freeeeeee.
customer relations team (of minions) is top notch.
The Xeon E5-v4 platform, while rock-solid and dependable in its time, is now over a decade old. It served both us and our customers extremely well—but it’s reaching its architectural and hardware limits in today’s environments.
We're moving toward Xeon Scalable Gen 2 not just for the performance gains, but mostly because:
We're deploying newer, larger-capacity drives (16 TB, 18 TB, 20 TB+), and in this context, RAID6 becomes a real bottleneck—both in rebuild times and sustained performance
Our newer infrastructure uses modern RAID controllers that simply aren’t compatible with the older E5-v4 chassis without serious compromise.
Energy efficiency, cooling, density and hardware maintainability are all much better on Gen 2.
So yes, the E5-v4s served us very well, but it’s time to let them go.
Bro currently earn the best VPS plan naming awards, nice
I never see the plan, which plan ?
Fiat 500 In Search For FAT32 Little BF Dragon Triton Maersk 949 IPv9 Only
Still that doesn’t justify a 40% price hike, unless we can get more vCPU cores. The RAM, disk, and everything else are still the same.
I completely understand that not everyone will be happy with these changes. Some of them are unpopular.
I knew that going into this.
What’s “worth it” or not will always be up to each individual customer, and I respect that.
I do expect some fallout. Some will cancel.
Unfortunately, we may lose a few long-time customers who have been with us for 2+ years — and I’m genuinely sorry for that, sincerely.
But I also stand by this decision, because it’s made for the greater good of the majority and for the sustainability of the services we offer.
Very low - margin products are extremely sensitive to cost fluctuations, and we’ve seen those sharply — electricity alone is up nearly 30% since 2023, and that’s just one example. Sooner or later, something had to give.
You can look at this from a practical standpoint: costs are up across the board, and we’re adjusting. Or you can bring the pitchforks — that’s fair too. I get it.
What I could’ve done was quietly terminate all non-profitable services and move on. But I didn’t. I chose to keep them running and give you the choice: stay on them at the adjusted pricing, or not. That way, you decide — not us.
And just for context: even with a ~35% price increase on the 10 TB service, you're still paying less than $1.20 per TB per month, on much newer and more reliable hardware. plus, the mail clearly said that you if you do not wish to upgrade, you can keep using them as they are til April 2027 ( ~2 years from now )
Also, keep in mind — storage isn't something you can oversell like CPU or RAM. It’s fixed. I can’t over-cram a node just to lower costs. The only real solution is to invest in better hardware — larger capacity drives, more efficient RAID, and improved power density. That hardware costs more upfront, but it’s what enables us to keep delivering viable services.
That’s where we stand — and I own the decision.
I'd like to ask, some VPS on the E5 platform will receive a free upgrade, but why not all of them? Doesn't this create a certain level of unfairness?
