network should be fine now but we are completing adding +100G port tomorrow during office hours.
i hope to either add edgoo, TATA or cogent before Summer/August. Depending on negotiations. But im still behind on some tasks of configuring the IX ports.

@HostSlick was this a once in a lifetime opportunity or does that offer come back at some point?

Due to very busy times, both privately and business wise i am unfortunate and can not tell. I do not know this myself.
Altough have hired someone to make support tickets for me, we are very busy.
Due to ongoing growth in our dedicated server sector and increasing demand in our network, we can not handle for now.
    The future need to decide.

For me nothing worked, except for the rescue mode when the installed OS was AlmaLinux

Installed Debian using rescue mode / debootstrap, mainly using help from following guide
    https://gist.github.com/tyanyaw/cf7dc5b48401aa95e025da67960f6f2b
Care to install openssh (enable it!) and verify networking (had to use ens3 instead of eth0)

We have your ticket i see regarding broken debian 12 and will be handled during office hours

@SirFoxy not sure where your hostility comes from. I've always shown you grace.

You gave this guy a tag after his entire network vanished for a week. You didn’t see this exit scam coming?

    My network no have vanished?
How our customers/downstreams offering their Services Here then?

False. There are so many red flags surrounding you, it's insane you still have a tag. People have been following you around replying to your posts about their services disappearing and tickets going unanswered for months for like a year now.

    https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/204550/hostslick-network-issues/

I suspect you used this pre-order to catch up on bills, which is why the delivery was so much later than advertised.

Anyway, LET is officially cooked. If anyone actually trusts using your service going forward, then that's on them. The bar has never been lower for providers.

I don't want to derail this thread... but ColoCrossing said they don't consider email personal data, they also never mentioned names had been leaked, or the MD5 hashed passwords.

The things they said were leaked were (according to LEB screenshot): email and "limited metadata"

According to HIBP they actually leaked: Emails, Passwords, Names

So 2 of the 3 were not disclosed. All 3 are personal data, unlike ColoCrossing's claim: https://commission.europa.eu/law/law-topic/data-protection/data-protection-explained_en

No idea what other "limited metadata" means, but if that is say, IP's of users that have logged in, they should also disclose that.

@HostSlick said: We have your ticket i see regarding broken debian 12 and will be handled during office hours

Definitely not mine since I didn't create a ticket, as I managed to get the (buggy) rescue mode working myself. But yeah please fix the Deb images. Also, you might want to offer netboot, would appreciate it (but possibly wont need at all anymore)

Network did get much better, maybe also the Debian reinstall helped. I can push >600 MBit/s currently constantly (while filling up the storage), but I assume that the sending Hetzner machine is the bottleneck here (shared GBit/s), not the VPS provided.

Disk performance of the HDD also got much better after the reinstall. Maybe the Alma Image is weird, it appears to be.

Will send an updated YABS probably later that day, but heres my verdict as of now:

    • Panel is buggy, many images are not working as of now
    • Rescue mode only worked rarely, but with it I managed to install plain debian onto the boot drive
    • VPS is definitely snappy, network is very good as of now
    • CPU is kinda good as well, hope it stays that way too
    • Disks are decent to pretty good

For 60€/y hell of a deal, hope @HostSlick wont deadpool after the delivery drama. Myself, I feel very safe.
Actually, this allrounder really has the capabilities to replace a couple of things in my setup, so the description/name really is on point

  • I bought a 3TB server from @HostSlick a few months ago. It was a flash sale, but I have to say I'm completely happy with it. It's been working truly flawlessly!

That's why I waited patiently for this new server, a 5TB one, which was delivered yesterday, even though I think the provider has not been respectful to us, like many of you already said.

But @HostSlick , in my opinion, you're new profile picture, especially now, is a bad taste choice, and doesn't give you the credibility you need in order to gain trust from your customers. You're service deserves, IMO, better than that.

  • quite bad provider

Lots of people say that. I'm a recent customer, and I only use his servers for backups. I have no complaints.
    Time will tell.

Just want to say I also have the same issue (and also opened a ticket). Only see the 60G boot drive running lsblk -a

Actually, this allrounder really has the capabilities to replace a couple of things in my setup, so the description/name really is on point

interesting find regarding the Alma, i check it soon. THANKS!!!!
Well yes there shouldnt be any issues anymore and additional 100G uplink is added 20min ago on top of that - if you test it should be good

bandwidth doubles i hope get done end of week.

    Otherwise im on everything,
