    HS has been posting offers since 2016, so it's not like they didn't have a track record. And their last offer 6 months ago did not generate problems, so calling staff here "retards" seems wee bit dankrupt.

    By “still pending” what they really mean is they never ordered the hardware in the first place and have no intention of ever delivering. Why else would they be so confident to say “latest delivery by May 5” and go total radio silence afterward?

    I’d chargeback and find a competent provider to do business with. At this point, even if you get the server, the moment it has problems or goes down, you’re likely screwed beyond relief (and outside the chargeback window). Save yourself that grief.

    Not necessarily. Annual payment can save a lot in processing fees and gives them immediate cash flow to invest, etc. Just because you pay more monthly doesn’t always mean that the provider profits more. There’s always middlemen in every transaction.

    Not every sale has to be profitable per se either. Maybe someone has excess idling capacity on a node that they are willing to mark down on a flash sale to generate extra revenue from it. Idling node capacity is lost money; the node isn’t cheaper to run with fewer customers.

    TL;DR I wouldn’t generalize business practices to all providers. They are all different, and there are many that are highly regarded that largely offer annual plans. As a matter of practice I refuse to mention the names of other providers on offer threads, but you can find some threads with only annual plans that had over 1k non-spam comments in them.

  • Ask your bank when the chargeback window closes. Then chargeback at least 2 weeks before the window closes.

    I would have chargeback and left on June 5 (30 days late) but if you really want to give them the benefit of the doubt, t - 2 weeks should be the most you give them to deliver.

    Has the host in question @ColoCrossing come clean on what transpired?

    Has the Administration from this forum taken any action on @ColoCrossing ?

    Would your stance be to let it swept under the rug if another host had a breach and they didn't come clean?

    Having thread open with 80k views doesn't mean anything if the host doesn't come clean.

    If this is not sweeping things under the rug, I dunno what is.

    I'm finding it very hard to believe that just one day ago your support said "still pending"/"once it arrives" and today (on a Saturday no less, USA time) you're promising that you will deliver 100% tomorrow (on a Sunday)...? So the hardware arrived just within the past 24h and you have the staffing on a Sunday to rack up everything after a month of radio silence?

    Anyone who has a chargeback open with their bank, don't withdraw it. Wait for the YABS results to come.
