I'd understand if you want some bs server with arm cpus or some junk librebooted/corebooted
This components you find at the nearest pc store or on local olx etc
    Lol
Prob the provider needed a bank credit approval to buy the components /s

The server was technically ready tuesday. We only had to swap out the 4x2TB NVMe for 2x8TB NVMe as requested, which was done on Thursday. As I already mentioned, there was a VLAN misconfiguration + technical issue with the server itself. Of course we don't deploy a server which is not operational, that would be a total scam!

We don't have tons of servers in stock. We usually either have a server instantly ready because another customer cancelled their server or we build a new one. In case we build a new one, it may take up to 14 business days until the hardware is delivered and deployed.

It's not always so easy to get hardware in bulk, especially motherboards are sometimes in really short supply. Two weeks is completely realistic for a new server, especially if you don't have a Hetzner or OVH warehouse. Even Hetzner says (https://docs.hetzner.com/de/general/others/order-processing/) 10-12 working days for customized servers, so presumably they are counting Mon-Fri, which would give us over two weeks.

Not sure why people use crypto instead of using a buyer protection service like a credit card.

    Oh right, doing something illegal.

do whatever, whatever use, we keep tracking every pixel by pixel and actions. and easily trackk, so think beyond.

I have no idea what you just said except you confirmed it's shady AF.

Holy shit, where do you live that has 8TB NVMe drives at local PC store?

Or you suggest buying used, non-warranty gear from OLX?

    Opinion safely ignored.

I bought fron Novacloud. They told me up to 14 days after payment to get the server ready and they did fulfill in 10 or so days. User probably had a misunderstanding.

Not a great selection but it exists in some neighborhoods in the US.

@NovaCloudHosting you’re not a scammer or fraudster but your communication skills still need improvement. Don’t make promises you can’t keep, and don’t raise the hopes of a client unless you are at the “hand over the SSH login” stage. Simply state 10-14 days and instruct the client to wait. Nobody needs to know about internal snags unless it will push you beyond the promised timeline. You just unnecessarily embarrassed yourself when simply being quiet with “wait the 2 weeks” would have been fine.

Sometimes, less words is more (less room for misunderstanding, etc.)

We're not in the US here ;D

Anyways, I totally agree with you, that I could have prevented this misunderstanding by saying less than more. My aim was simply to be transparent, there was no bad intention at all.

  • @NovaCloudHosting, O.K, fine, where is $7/yr kvm?

Key word, "some". Also, those aren't enterprise drives. Also, I've only heard about Microcenter through stories with long lines, limited quantity and purchase limits. Banking on being able to pick up a drive from local computer shop is more likely going to cause missed deadlines.

You realize he already said this in like his first response? The OP was never "promised", just giving him the current status since he was spamming support. Now, in the future, the next customer gets a less transparent service as a result and likely LESS support response. Don't encourage this behavior.

"False hope" is one of the dumbest complaints for a delivered on time service I might have ever heard. Asking for a refund? Hell no.

  • Awkward.

  • OP, learn English if you are dealing internationally.

What I see here is, OP is using chatgpt and meanings are changing in translation.

To he fair, I don't even see @NovaCloudHosting being vague.

"Should be ready by this evening...." doesn't necessarily guarantee that it will be ready by the evening. That's the best case scenario where it will be ready. So provider isn't lying or even making false promise here.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE about @NovaCloudHosting was..... Imposing the cost of technician to the potential buyer.

Suppose a faulty components come and the replacement will take weeks as a result of which the server may get delay than the deadline. In these cases, I don't think the buyer should be imposed the expanse of technicians.

Exactly my point: there's nuance in the words chosen. But not everybody wants to understand that. Just like stating that "some" stores in the US have 8TB NVME drives in stock. That doesn't mean all of them, and drawing a conclusion to it is unjustified.
