If Path combined their expertise and code with a provider with decent capacity, administration and management, they would be unbeatable.

The team is in a really good spot right now, in my opinion. We hired a new CTO a few months ago, and he's really assisted in cleaning up the codebase, implementing good policies, and improving the tech overall.

Stop replying to random crap just to push down the real accusations against you and Path.net.

It’s painfully obvious you only respond to things where you can fabricate some half-believable excuse, things we can’t verify. The serious stuff gets ignored or hidden behind “can’t talk about it because of lawsuits,” but you don’t show any proof for what you do say. That’s not how you build trust. It’s pretty clear the outages were caused by serious mismanagement or money problems.

Right now, everything you say is just talk. If you can’t back it up, people shouldn’t believe a word of it.

I said Singapore was coming back and its back, gave a few other estimates as well. That is pretty much all that can be shared currently. I am obviously not going to respond the ridiculous statements saying or at least alluding to attacks by Path after the first one by Kait. There is absolutely zero evidence. I never saw LET go offline personally but who knows.

I am not sure what this means fully, but if you would like to change locations until New York is back online, feel free to put in a ticket.

It’s genuinely frustrating how you keep dodging the core issues. You continue to offer vague responses while completely ignoring the fact that multiple locations have gone offline since January. Not once have you provided actual evidence to back up your claims. Every time someone asks for transparency, we get the same canned excuse about “ongoing lawsuits,” as if that justifies the complete lack of transparancy. Meanwhile, it’s becoming increasingly clear that either mismanagement or payment problems are behind these outages.

Now New York has been down for a full week, and all we get is a vague explanation about a “fiber issue”? Seriously? You expect people to accept that without a shred of proof? Given the track record, your word just doesn’t carry weight anymore.

And now you’re using AS136557 in Singapore and Sydney, clearly a move to cut costs. Let me guess, Telstra wasn’t paid either, so now the fallback excuse is a conveniently unverifiable “9-month lead time.” It’s getting harder and harder to believe any of this isn’t just more deflection.

I just pulled up the SLA credit from the dataforest contract and it reads
"Credit will only apply to protection services and does not apply
to any other services such as, but not limited to, support and nonrecurring costs."

Unfortunately, you are forgetting that we have requested SLA credits several times - as an active customer. The only thing that worked for you was the billing (except for overcommitment as I heard from other providers). Buy something useful with the X hundred dollars, we gave you the chance to clarify this and work out a solution, which you did not accept.

I don't know if this is in any way related, but shortly after my last message we are getting carpet bombs on various subnets every 2 minutes. Coincidences happen all the time.

I just noticed that we also suddenly started to received 1.6Tbit (1B+ pps) attacks on various random customers (and also carperbomb) since yesterday.

Yeah like I said, super suspicious that LET went down right after a discussion got opened, multiple hosting providers who complain about Path having garbage routing got DDoSed, someone got DDoSed right after saying he wanted to move away from Path. To many coincidence imo.

any way to prove this? very very interesting

@KyanG7 said: Mind throwing me a few ticket #s for me to take a look at in DMs?

I've already left path for over a year now. There's no benefit for me to have you finally pay attention now after I repeatedly pinged your staff on Slack and then on Discord for weeks. I told you guys that I was at my limit.

Telling you the tickets only serves to give you a chance to make up another random excuse. Or maybe be victim to ddos (not that it matters though, filtering isn't rocket science and other providers have caught up as jordy has shown).

Even pretending that Path/Tempest isn't insolvent (despite the multiple unpaid bill lawsuits and evidence showing your CEO sold his lambo), the fact that you play "chicken" with equinix or phoenixnap by not paying them while they can shut off and keep your servers is just sheer stupidity. Anyone still trusting their server to someone that runs their business like this deserves their downtime.

@vinhais said: If Path combined their expertise and code with a provider with decent capacity, administration and management, they would be unbeatable.

They are far from unbeatable. The competition has caught up now. The only thing they win at is # of pops + performance/price (which is debatable now since there's so much downtime now). You can get cheaper service with less pops or pay more for more pops at other providers. Filtering quality is comparable if you're not using trash like OVH.

At this point this is just sad.

Kyan is eating all the hate right now, and Marshal still thinks Path.net is too big for him to address people's issues personally and needs a spokesperson. Another employee thrown under the bus.

I kinda feel sorry for Kyan lol.

Those coincidences are super common. They are so common in fact, that while I was reading your discussion some days ago, I was wondering if you were aware of the coincidence which was likely coming to your network.

Many people in this forum is well aware of this situation and many stuff which is even worse... but nobody talks out of fear or convenience.

Did you run out of content so you had to bring out screenshots from 2022? I was Director of Engineering for a short period during that time and now I am the Director of Operations, what exactly is this trying to point out?

Not too bad of a life for being 16 or 17. Seems like it worked out pretty well seeing that I am still here.

I had already been running my own hosting company and was almost done with my degree at this point and it's very normal to intern a job at 16. As most know here, hosting support can be pretty entry-level.

Of course, I agree it probably wasn't deserved at the time, which is why it was changed a few weeks later. I think it generally just came from the experience I had in hosting at the time. It's been over 3 years now. I was hired when quite a few others were being brought on as well so there is always just adjustments to be made.

ok so now I'm wondering. since tempest is owned by path. and path has these odd issues with well, rent, getting the alleged boot out of various colo sites. why not just put the shit from path in the cages/racks used for the tempest sites? if path has been effectively evicted from various colo DCs why hasn't tempest? the whole situation from a public perspective looks like lunacy

People here are guessing that's how they avoided their servers getting repoed by equinix. However phoenixnap seems like they are smarter or at least not afraid of the legal tricks that Path is trying to pull here. But even if they were seperate companies (which they aren't), this doesn't mean you get to squat in the datacenter forever.

As we had said, these migrations were already planned, which means Tempest had started the migrations years ago, which shows this was expected and were negotiations that simply didn't work out.

no yeah I get that but the job title used for customer facing would be misleading IMO that's a bit sketchy there

As we had said, these migrations were already planned, which means Tempest had started the migrations years ago, which shows this was expected and were negotiations that simply didn't work out.

These "planned migrations" were never announced before all these locations went down. Again, something you never showed any evidence for.

Your only posts are on this thread. I honestly have zero reason to prove anything to you so far.

Weren't you like 16 or 17 at that point? Great titles, but that means dogshit.

Better than Corey whispering in your ear. Did he introduce you to porn when you where 14?

Not too bad of a life for being 16 or 17. Seems like it worked out pretty well seeing that I am still here.

I can feel your anger Kait. It gives you focus. Makes you Stronger.

So far everything I've been able to share has been correct. I think even if I shared everything that I can't someone would come in to find something else to complain about.
