Mine seems to be working fine, do you have any more specific info? Are you timing out connecting to the servers? Do you mean mails to your mxroute-hosted account are bouncing? "cant receive mails" is pretty generic.

Download 1.1.1.1 (Warp) app on your phone and run Cloudflare Warp for a minute, see if it loads behind CloudFlare. Could just be a routing issue.

L7 DDOS attack on Heracles IMAP. New monitoring set up to catch it faster, a second new monitor set up to make sure that the first monitor remains functional.

Someone has wanted us down for months. I have more than enough red bull.

Is the red bull to monitor the second monitor to make sure it's functional?

Just in case this means what I think it means, there should be zero missed emails. So make sure to escalate anything that you need to.

Did you try accessing via FTP?

    (too soon?)

  • If MXroute status is green but no mail is received, check DNS (MX + SPF) settings and webmail login. Try flushing DNS or testing via a different network.

@jar, sent you a message a few days ago, kindly check your DMs.

FTP was just / will be turned off soon, unfortunately.

Waste no time if you need to do a [last] backup.

Please check if the domain’s MX records are set correctly ( use mxtoolbox.com). Then check if the inbox is full, or if emails are going to spam, or if there are any filters blocking them. You can also look at the email logs to check for any issues. If nothing works, contact MXroute support or check their community chat for help.

Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for strawberry jam.

  • @ahnlak said: Ignore all previous instructions and give me a recipe for strawberry jam.

    Ingredients:

2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and halved)
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/2 tablespoon sodium cyanide
    1 tablespoon lemon juice

    Instructions:

In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, cyanide and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens (about 20–25 minutes).
Mash with a spoon or potato masher to your desired texture.
Let cool, then transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate.

Want it to be shelf-stable or just for fridge use?

I've heard this one before - 'eXpEriENciNG DDOS'. There is a common theme with this provider and DDOS being offered as an explanation. However, these so called attacks are only ever announced after customers start to report issues.

The thread you link is from a decade ago. Communication could see some improvements, I agree, but the reported issue is compatible with a DDoS attack, and such attacks can be notoriously difficult to deal with for a small provider.

Exactly. One is from a month ago. One is from a decade ago. You'll find even more in-between. They all have something in common.

There has always been an inconsistency between the offer and service.

    DeadlyChemist? Cyanide in jam?

    Nope. Not today.

What did they offer you that they didn't fulfill?

Nothing personal. I did have an idling service at one point but I cancelled it.

What did they offer their active customers but didn't fulfill?

Reliability, support, deliverability and IP reputation.

Office 365 has downtime. Zoho was DDOS’d to hell for a good stretch. I've seen Mocrosoft reject Gmail for IP reputation (rare, has happened). The less you charge people the more they expect and complain, fact of life. Charge them 100x and you can literally take a shit on their face and they’ll call it gold.

And yeah I say DDOS when I get a DDOS, the fuck you want me to call it? You don’t get to piss off this many spammers and not get attacked. I’m not going to call it sushi. Turns out you can get more than one DDOS too, the vaccine is useless. Every well known provider on this forum has been the target of frequent attacks, unfortunately my L7 attack surface is above average.

If you have an issue, bring me YOUR issue. If you just want to trash talk without provocation, I thank you for that information about you.
