Are you saying mxroute didn't deliver in terms of email deliverability and ip reputation?
(i have no knowledge about support because i had to open exactly 0 tickets since I created an account)
No issues here.
None for me either.
The better question is whether or not I'm delivering for you. A former customer with a chip on his shoulder is less interesting. I'm behind in support still but it's light years better than past times, we're doing quite well and Albert is a beast for everything that doesn't require me personally.
Not that any of that is relevant to the thread. Sometimes it feels like picking unprovoked fights with me is just the fashion this season. Can't wait for someone else to win that title again.
The way you speak makes it clear who your target customer is.
You're not Office 365. You're not Zoho. Your whole platform is white label panels. You have built zero functionality. You are completely dependent on other people's stacks which equates to vulnerable. The difference between other providers and yourself is that they aren't making up conspiracy theories about bad actors spending multiples of your revenue just to keep you down. They're also able to establish good relationships with capable DDOS providers and acquire the necessary hardware to deliver their services.
Maybe take a break. You should learn to take responsibility and address issues rather than displaying the fact you are clearly unhinged. You should also hire someone to 'talk to people' for you if you ever want to scale.
It isn't my intention to bother you and I am not attacking you when I share my views on your service but I can understand why you would take it that way - but that isn't my issue, it's yours. You are capable and MXRoute can certainly become a much better product.
I idled your service and really couldn't care less about what you will or won't do because I always used better alternatives. You're not a charity either - you don't need to lie. Not every one of your unhappy customers can be as you describe as it is statistically impossible.
Wishing you all the best and I hope you get better soon.
Yes. That's why i was confused by his statement. Arguing about mxroute's ip reputation is just insane to me.
ip reputation
bro what
Do you have an issue that I can help you with or do you just need to vent on someone today? You seem like such an expert on handling L7 SMTP/IMAP attacks without harming regular customer usage but I’m not hiring someone who talks to me this way so I don’t know what the point of the flex is. We have been dealing with the attacks that’s why we’re not offline, you moron. Just because I say we’re experiencing attacks doesn’t mean we’re offline and I’m flailing around like a fucking idiot. Being overly transparent is my brand, I inform my customers of what happens even when it doesn’t matter to them, if they hang around spaces where I’m sharing it. Don’t enter those spaces (like this thread) if it gets your panties in a wad to hear it.
We weren’t even offline during the one this thread is about, just had a subset of users who couldn’t reach IMAP because Dovecot has limits and they needed both adjustment as well as attack mitigation. Get a hobby. Encroaching on mine because you had a bad day is your fucking problem and not mine or my customer’s. You idling service with me years ago does not entitle you to be a prick to me for no reason. I did not provoke you, I didn’t ask you for your opinions, and neither did anyone else here.
And if you address me voluntarily just to call me a liar based on information you don’t fucking have, I’ll talk to you however I god damn please. Hope your day gets better, go take it out on someone else, prick.
ip reputation deez nuts
The number of people you have to upset at our scale to give customers as much freedom as I do, while maintaining positive IP reputation for a long stretch of time, is the craziest challenge I’ve ever taken on. It’s so damn wild.
I'm just here for the new mxroute promos.
It’s too late I had the BF 2024 Small package come available due to termination, and the entire country of China came at me like a horde of zombies. I need someone to check if they’re still out there because I can’t stay in this closet all day.
Me too, I'm just looking forward to the next promos.
Probably deserved, for all the dumb spam gmail originates.
a person from Pakistan runs the biggest spam operation in gmail.
now idea how address it in this country, nothings works
gmail has restricted account mining due to AI keys, they ban new accounts like crazy.
even acc farms from ru have closed sales.
But old accounts survive the ban and it is nearly impossible to take them down via spam complaints to google. Even spamhaus cannot do anything to help their clients.
I’m working on a way that just might send them in a downward spiral. Hope to have some successes to share as it’s not incredibly complicated in logic but it’s a little more complicated in execution and upkeep.
yes, would be great to kick him in return and send it back to origin
I see he is changing accounts quickly.
Now Gmail bans new accounts without sms within 12 days, about 90%, then bans the 10% survived, for unknown reason (good proxy?), within 1-2 months.
I pay $3/3yr for emails for a whole (small) company, and I’ve never had any issues.
And I fully support the stance of not being HA etc, and instead that they instead just make sure to have backups to restore in-case the worst occurs.
There needs to be a low-end email provider with stellar IP reputation without all of the things that make gmail be gmail etc.
Although iOS still tells me that the email server is offline all of the time and it’s extremely annoying so yes, one issue I guess.
That's not expected or commonly reported behavior, if that information helps.
Could honestly be on my end. I always use the same Wi-Fi with the same DNS so maybe something there. It always works right after the warning so it’s never really down, it just likes to say that it is it feels like.
Just give me a shout sometime if you want me to check the IP in the logs to see if anything stands out. Never hurts.
Sure, I'll try to remember to DM you the details and timestamp next time it occurs. Thanks!
I recommend nuru massage for @jar. You need to went off that stress. You just fed the troll. Emails get delivered and received. That’s it. Thank you.
If you secretly live for it they feed you 😁
(nm, managed to see an old post as a new one)
i had this issue and it turned out to be my DNS blocking the iCloud mask/mask-h2 subdomains. if you use adguard/nextdns/controld/etc id look at that and see if its the same case for you
Damn this blew up
I have heard of FTP beeing discontinued
As long as the web file explorer works, i can use this
There are few issues with mxroute; but yeah
For now staying with them but not sure how long. Maybe year maybe 5
I dont know
The comments about using white label software are nonsensical. Just because the customer facing side of things is off-the-shelf software doesn’t mean the whole stack is. But that’s beside the point; the majority of the hosting industry is built on white label software.
Similarly, the comment about taking responsibility doesn’t align at all with how @jar has historically conducted himself; if anything, he’s been extremely transparent and upfront about MXroute flaws and issues. Is his communication style direct? Sure, but that’s no secret - if you choose to sign up, you do so fully informed.
It’s very easy to hate from the outside and for some reason MXroute appears to attract an overwhelming amount of undue criticism. Personally, I’ve had zero issues with MXroute, and I’m confident @jar will continue to improve from valid criticism and feedback.
