2–5 servers: Useful for small-scale projects with redundancy (e.g., a web server, database server, backup server) 😄
1 dedicated server
6 VPS'S
Fck me I made wrong comment,
Evolution
Sixty nine
Currently I have 11, planning to transfer one of them soon, mainly storage servers. Won’t need more anytime soon.
enough?
Currently only 2 - one dedi and one vps
Broigus can shed a light on how many servers is too many. @brueggus
Around 20 including 3 dedicated servers
It’s too much.
I’ll fix this whole mess next year, maybe.
More the merrier.
1st production, 2nd as backup and staging
Few more for experiments, maybe nat, maybe weird location or maybe riscv
Mind sharing that top notch providers for storage?
Get your spreadsheet out @Decicus
no thanks
Zagato has few servers. @zGato
Has to be @host_c
gorillaservers and webnx. they use raid controllers and their drives are high quality. they guarantee the drives are free of bad sectors. fiberstate if you manage to get their storage server because their hardware is all new, literally, not "new drive with 50k hours on it".
for storage vps I vote layer7 especially the 50TB addon for $50 making it almost $1/TB. host_c is also good if you have the early vps deals.. the current offerings are typical market price.
HostBrr ( @labze ), @hosthatch and @host_c
@fluffernutter @zGato Can you recommend something for 1$/€ per Month Preferably a provider that has been on the market for at least 10 years. Maybe you also want to rewrite something? And a provider that accepts TOR relays.
Damn! You you definitely been on a diet. What hapened?
Bought a house and took my money to the hardware store instead
Most providers won't do anything for that budget outside of crazy flash deals. $12/year gets you some stuff, but most of those will be crazy oversold and won't want you running relays with them. justhost is probably it honestly, unless @zGato has anything I don't know about.
when globalping/atlas probes
or even the syncthing relay gang
We need more @zGato in this world.
and wtf @host_c I just saw your signature
Yeah man, totally deserves to stay up for a while — it's hilarious. Respect where it's due! 👏
I really enjoy seeing people with funny stuff in their signatures. Adds a lot of character and fun to the community.
Plus, we al know who is a provider, so having adds there is nonsense, having a little fun "spam" makes a lot more sense

50+
Nobody knows the exact number, not even me.
As long they have good connectivity / peering and they are in a good spot its +1
