that's literally the highest 512k total i have ever seen, @bingobangobongo did you wire a small connection from the nvme disks directly to the cpu cache?

You deserve that same care too. This community’s got your back and will keep you moving forward. You’re not alone.

You know, sometimes I wish there's benchmark script for friends like a YABS...

The sad truth is if any of then reach out to me needing some help I will still say yes probably 9/10 of the time.

I just wish to be remembered.

Saying no to them won't matter much to them. They'll just move to the next guy. It's up to you to save you mental health and learn to say no.

u can’t really run a yabs on people but some stuff fits. some friends are like those overshared nodes n feel slow or just not reliable. and some r like a decent vds, not perfect but got enough power to support u. maybe they can’t fix things but just listening helps.

I’ve been going through the same thing for years. Friends or family only show up when they need something, once that’s done, it’s like I don’t exist. Sometimes just saying, 'I can’t, I’ve got family stuff going on, can’t help right now,' or even making an excuse is totally fine. When they come back next time asking for a favor, they’ll start with 'how are you' and act all nice. Try a little trick, ask for a small favor, like picking something up from their nearby XYZ Mart. Their response will tell you everything you need to know about how to deal with them now or next time.

Hey dino. I know you are not serious with benchmarking friends but people also might have other things going on with their life. Everyone has ups and downs. Not everyone might be good friend as you are as in no one would drop what they are doing and help you because either they don't care, or they have their own stuff, or simply they didn't see it.

Also, friendship and offering supports are not always related. I have some good friends, but I suck at offering them support. Best I can do is, "I am sorry to hear that, I hope you feel better soon". Simply because I don't know what else to say.

In that case (as in when you need someone to talk and spare you their time) only consistent option is asking for professional help. It's consistent only if you have money, but because they are not your friends they are more free to give their feedback about you. For example I wouldn't want to hurt a friend of my unintentionally because I was giving my honest opinion on them.

Also to add, finding counselors (or whatever it's called) is hit and miss. It's a constant search process, as you can't always click with the right one. But at least once you find it, it helps with things better.

Good luck with your life, and I hope things get better for you.

I have rarely asked for help from my friends (irl) but early this month I asked for 1 favor by lowly posting publicly on social media, but guess what? 0 interactions on all my social media combined.

I don't know what that means but it just spells failure to me, I used to think all my efforts I spent on them will at least makes me a tiny little bit important in their mind, I always go further and beyond when they need help and used to think some will remember about my existence, but maybe I was just wrong.

if you rarely post then its possible your activities could be "de-prioritzed" on their feeds.

I actually thought it is the opposite, social media sometimes show notification if someone hasnt posted for very long because a person who rarely posts usually mean the quality of the post might be better

But maybe they do text analysis and stuff and prioritise depends on various other factors.

I'm really not sure cos all i see on my feed are

    • how to get out of depression
    • boobs

Well boobs are a great way to get out of depression. Play with a pair of boobs for an hour and say it isn’t so.
