Thank you for replying. It is a pity.

I plan to put up a Sweden 1 TB flash sale for service transfer once the Chicago server is delivered (I needed a location change). Same renewal price ($60/3 years) though it doesn’t have the OS boot drive (still pending that upgrade from HH).

Funny, of all the services I ordered, only my Chicago storage is outstanding, too! :)

Hey guys anyone having issue where their hosthatch server is downloading around 1.5 MiB/s all the time? I used nethogs to check but it’s just unknown TCP with no PID. Already tried reinstalling debian and ubuntu but same result.

Do you see this consistent with any and all downloads? Or something specific

It happened on a fresh reimaged box. Nothing installed/configured yet. Left it for few hours, still there’s traffic downloading averaging 1.5MiB/s at all time. Sometimes it spiked to 5MiB/s for few seconds.

The network itself is fine performing as expected. Just something is, downloading/streaming something? Idk.

  • Strange, did not notice such behaviour on my HH boxes.

Highly likely some broadcasting traffic. Can happen if neighbours in the same subnet run not well configured VPNs or the likes.

Oh okay yeah that actually makes sense. Didn’t think of that. Probably the reason why the bandwidth count in Hosthatch’s panel is also not increasing due to local network activity, probably.

Our network rules should not let any of this broadcast traffic hit your VM, please open a ticket so we can take a look and fix if needed.

Is the snapshot feature still in beta? Has anyone put in a request for it?

I ordered on this deal and can confirm I have snapshot option in the web ui

I can't find any snapshot options on order page, even on normal order
Did u ask for this feature before?

I didn't ask for it, ordered the vps and it was just present when logged in.

  • impressed with hosthatch server so far. My usage is limited. GB6 around 1600 and for heavy lifting, throttling the cpu usage to 60% around but still results are acceptable.

I don’t want to stir up the shit pot like what transpired last time, but is anyone else still waiting for their VPS delivery or is it just me? It’s been 5 business days and tomorrow will be one week. I can keep waiting but would be good to know what is going on.

London NVMe delivered, waiting on London storage still. OP says 5 days but if I remember correctly at point of sale it said 10 days. Happy to wait as I know with HH it will be worth it

While I am setting up my OpenWRT, I recall https://docs.hosthatch.com/networking/#ipv6-configuration

Can you really use local link aka fe80::1 as gateway?

Yes. At the point of buying, it was written 10 days.

  • Hey guys,

I got the first three servers within a day after placing the order. Then I ordered three more servers (Netherlands) on the last day (15th April).

Just for the sake of planning, has anyone ordered on 15th and is still waiting for them to be delivered? The Easter holiday in between may have slowed it down. Just trying to get a sense for it. Not complaining. :-)
