Funny, of all the services I ordered, only my Chicago storage is outstanding, too!
Woo my LA storage is online, looks like I've got a project over the weekend to keep me busy.
is it just me or have they finally gotten their storage vps right
Yrs
Hey guys anyone having issue where their hosthatch server is downloading around 1.5 MiB/s all the time? I used nethogs to check but it’s just unknown TCP with no PID. Already tried reinstalling debian and ubuntu but same result.
Do you see this consistent with any and all downloads? Or something specific
Doh, trust me to not check LET frequently enough when it's this time of year...
It happened on a fresh reimaged box. Nothing installed/configured yet. Left it for few hours, still there’s traffic downloading averaging 1.5MiB/s at all time. Sometimes it spiked to 5MiB/s for few seconds.
The network itself is fine performing as expected. Just something is, downloading/streaming something? Idk.
Strange, did not notice such behaviour on my HH boxes.
Highly likely some broadcasting traffic. Can happen if neighbours in the same subnet run not well configured VPNs or the likes.
Oh okay yeah that actually makes sense. Didn’t think of that. Probably the reason why the bandwidth count in Hosthatch’s panel is also not increasing due to local network activity, probably.
Our network rules should not let any of this broadcast traffic hit your VM, please open a ticket so we can take a look and fix if needed.
I see. Yup will open soon. Thanks.
I didn't ask for it, ordered the vps and it was just present when logged in.
impressed with hosthatch server so far. My usage is limited. GB6 around 1600 and for heavy lifting, throttling the cpu usage to 60% around but still results are acceptable.
I don’t want to stir up the shit pot like what transpired last time, but is anyone else still waiting for their VPS delivery or is it just me? It’s been 5 business days and tomorrow will be one week. I can keep waiting but would be good to know what is going on.
I waited a week and it got delivered.
10 days is the expected time.
London NVMe delivered, waiting on London storage still. OP says 5 days but if I remember correctly at point of sale it said 10 days. Happy to wait as I know with HH it will be worth it
I have been using hosthactch since 2019 and I am really happy with them.
While I am setting up my OpenWRT, I recall https://docs.hosthatch.com/networking/#ipv6-configuration
Can you really use local link aka fe80::1 as gateway?
Yes. At the point of buying, it was written 10 days.
Hey guys,
I got the first three servers within a day after placing the order. Then I ordered three more servers (Netherlands) on the last day (15th April).
Just for the sake of planning, has anyone ordered on 15th and is still waiting for them to be delivered? The Easter holiday in between may have slowed it down. Just trying to get a sense for it. Not complaining. :-)
@hosthatch my account has been compromised and Some one tried to Change my mail address of the account and ordered an VPS.
Kindly please respond !.
Long time customer of yours.
A great reminder to everyone to enable 2FA on everything.
Yep. This was the One and Only account I haven’t enabled 2FA.
After all these years, am Quite surprised !.
Will wait for Emil / Hosthatch support here.
The contact page on their site has a support email address, contact them with that for a likely quicker response.
https://hosthatch.com/contact
I wouldn’t use this topic as a point of support, especially not for a security and billing incident.
Had Raised a Ticket.. And am Waiting for their response !
The Idiot had ordered this Specs 😭
OMG
