How about to double your team?

Some Business Partner helps me to get Indian Support Staff Up. Will take a Month or two until they trained but hes already on it. With that Help can cover the VPS Tickets more easy and focus on the Main business. I Look to grow more in The dedicated Thing. Eventually shutdown vps over next 1-2years. I'll See.
Otherwise i have two Freelancer helping right now , especially when i be on vacation next week is where is to hand it over

oh boy this probably I should start looking at some other providers soon

Now I'm really a bit mad because this is the third time my transfer broke...

Maybe it was my own fault to do it at this point in time but honestly there was no statement of complete downtime, if I didn't miss anything...

  • nothing works, one vps is gone from the service, others are offline.

  • all dedicated was down.wait for morning multiple user reports

  • Same here. VPS has been down for over a hour.

  • Legend

  • ping pong it's back

  • Yes it's back . 😁

    Hello,

Unfortunately Today after applying config to establish bgp Session with our new additional upstream/Transit Provider GTT there was issue on our configuration which caused the complete full table to leak to our other upstream because technican Forgot to Set a Policy. This was About 1million routes which triggered prefix Limit on other upstream.

We have audited config and apply The correct one tomorrow to Finish a Network upgrade we have planned since a month.

    See Here
    https://hostslick.com/clients/announcements/82/Network-Upgrade-completion--.html

We then have completed and added 300Gbit GTT Tier1 upstream AS a Addition to our current upstreams capacity.

This has been fixed. Tomorrow on 16.04.2024 we Except to finish this in The morning/ day time

    Thanks for understanding.

For explain we have accidently sent all this routes to The Other upstream (See almost 1 Million routes) which triggered a Limit because some Policy was forget to be configured on our end
BY DEFAULT ebgp prefixes will be advertised to other ebgp peer

Actually Need correct Myself i think this Hostname was even translated from the old Cisco config

We ported from Cisco 6500 to Juniper MX960-PREM3 in October.

I hired someone and told him to port/translate the configuration and do this and that changes as we also setup a Stack of Aristas.

The Same guy Made the GTT Config, along with config bgp Mix, bgp failover and The configurations for Our Equipment in NIKHEF.

Hes Freelancer and also works fulltime for Orange France as Network engineer and has many certifications. So even the Professional people make mistakes sometimes

  • Wrong spelling is no indication of being professional or amateur, in the end it can happen to anyone.

In important place of config is different story if you are unlucky I guess :#

Thanks to @sh97 and @emgh I keep typing 'crunchbitch' and 'crankbis' subconsciously when doing professional e-mails after a very long day. At least I find it funny when I re-read them the next morning.

Every time we touch the network, planned with everything pre-printed and a bullet point list of every step and what everyone is doing it's always a cheek-clenching moment when admin hits enter on the 'confirm commit' for the MX. I feel that pain @HostSlick :)

TBH I don't really mind the minor downtime of the service, or even the poor network speed while they are doing infrastructure upgrade. I'm just rather sad I'll have to find another provider because they don't want to continue the VPS service in a year or two. I was really hoping to keep using this sweet 3TB storage box for a long time. Maybe @HostSlick will allow existing VPS service to continue to run until it's canceled that would be very nice

Once upon a time, many moons ago, I leaked full routes to IX, so I know the pain. Good luck Max, with the upgrade!
