  • Yeah, please some update about that NAT Storage as it is starting to piss me off.
There was one global ticket/email about memory test (without any follow up) and countless reboots.

    Thanked by 1heartbeat_IT
  • issue is happening back again anyone else?

    Yeah, back again for me

I got that issue with my VPS with them since around 2 weeks. I opened a ticket and was asked to hand in some MTRs during the time it happens, which isn't that easy, since it's usually only down several minutes.

Glad I'm not the only one now

Let's see if they can fix it.

Maybe you could install a persistent network detection tool to detect its network persistence

  • it seems to be hapoening every once in while!

I think there network is kind of under attack

    *Happening

    hard to catch via MTR

    General Update:

We are still investigating very odd packet loss occasions with different symptoms and are working around the clock to fix this. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

If you have issues please open a Ticket with MTR towards your service and if possible from the service to your network. Thanks!

Not sure what dose nodes running on but there was some faulty motherboard that affected even Hetzner. Maybe it's similar issue?

We use other hardware (in this case HPE Servers) as the ones Hetzner had issues with and replaced earlier this year.

My Swedish one is flawless 100% uptime for 120+ days, my Netherlands one goes down multiple times a day sadly.

If not already happened please open a Ticket with us and provide MTR towards your service and from your service towards your network please. Thanks!

Should I rise a ticket as well?
My node seems having the same problem.

Yes, please! Provide MTR towards your service and from your service towards your network please. Thanks!

We are planning to replace the whole Node now as we are unable to find the cause (we take over the Disks. Sorry for the inconvenience. Additional details will be provided in the upcoming days.

It seems we use the same transport infrastructure as @RickBakkr provided by Skylink towards Nikhef and we can confirm that this is not the cause of the issues of the last few days. There have been issues with the transport in the past but not in the last weeks.

The issue is still happening randomly for 1~10sec

Yes, issue is still present unfortunately

Still experiencing daily packet loss. It’s happening to every DNS server monitored by my Smokeping instance — Google, OpenDNS, Cloudflare, Level3, and Quad9. I'm being asked to supply MTRs again, but I don't really understand why. It’s clearly not isolated to my instance or connection.

Yeah me too, but there are no big disconnects for a while! had one like for 9 secs today,
there is always random packet loss!

LOL They asked me same, should I happen to keep MTR running whole day

    Sounds like microbursts

  • Same here. Been facing daily network outages on one of my VM's at NL. The other also at NL is fine though. Didn't create a ticket so far as the issue seems to affect multiple users.

  • I think the issue might be with SkyLink Data Center BV, because "Ferdinand Zink trading as Tube-Hosting" have similiar random disconnects too

  • Me too. Also haven't opened a ticket because I don't personally need it fixed!

Shit hit the fan with Heartbeat-it again it seems. Their own website is suffering with 504 errors and servers are unreachable

Edit: seems like they are having maintenance.

Network Maintenance - Dark Fiber connection to Amsterdam
Our Data Center Provider Skylink announced maintenance for the Dark Fiber connection to Amsterdam from 08.05.2025 23:30 CEST to 08.05.2025 6:00 AM CEST, we will reroute traffic via Skylink. Packet loss might appear due to congestion in Skylinks Network. Sorry for the inconvenience.

i see the maintenance in their status website but no mention about the downtime going to occur

also no email about this maintenance is crazy :D

I got email about 3rd of May. Their ticket system is hit and miss returns 504 error, wasn’t aware there is ongoing maintenance

  • JabJabJabJab Member

I don't recall any email about this, last one was about 3rd of May and 30 minutes... This one is 7 hours? WTF

  • tumbletumble Member

I got an email too, FWIW. They're doing their best. Whether that's good enough depends on how badly you need uptime!

Oh I was wrong - I was thinking of the planned downtime on the 3rd of May

@mxmla updated needed, rerouting and some packet loss does not mean total downtime :(

also LOL status website showing 100% uptime on NAT Storage that is also dead (and plagued with reboots). Another fake status page, eh

u might need to ping this acc instead @heartbeat_IT
that acc last active was 4 jan
