heartbeat-it down?

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the dark fiber maintenance conducted by our Datacenter provider, Skylink, in the Netherlands.

Typically, all clients are notified via E-Mail a few days prior to maintenance. Unfortunately, due to issues with our notification system, many clients were not informed this time.

Our network in the Netherlands includes a transport connection to Nikhef, which was the focus of this maintenance, and a connection to Skylink in the Datacenter itself. This connection also utilizes the link to Nikhef and one to Frankfurt. During this maintenance, as all Skylink clients rerouted their traffic to Skylink, there was packet loss in the past and again this night. For some clients, the connection was completely down due to this packet loss.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and would like to inform you that we have signed Rack Space with Databarn in Amsterdam to restore the standards we were able to provide a few months ago.

    Happy to have everyone onboard!

Please open a ticket if you still have issues.

@mxmla updated needed, rerouting and some packet loss does not mean total downtime :(

also LOL status website showing 100% uptime on NAT Storage that is also dead (and plagued with reboots). Another fake status page, eh

We use Uptime Kuma for status.heartbeat-it.com. A scheduled maintenance for a service leads to the blue colored heartbeats and the uptime calculation is frozen for this time. So no fake status page. We are sorry for the issues with the Storage VPS Node your Storage VPS is on but unfortunately it is what it is. New hardware is on the way and we will have this fixed in the upcoming weeks (Migration of 90+ TB of Storage VPS takes time).

Yeah, please some update about that NAT Storage as it is starting to piss me off.
There was one global ticket/email about memory test (without any follow up) and countless reboots.

    Still happening.

Rarely happening, I think it might be some sort of network issue!

I've asked last month [28th April to be specific, so last-last month] about ETA/timeline, there is none.
    Answer was:

Plan is to swap the whole Node your service is on. We already ordered the hardware. Unfortunately to migrate all clients we have to wait a few more weeks as we have no further Rack Space to place the Server in so we can Live Migrate the services. We will work on a solution for this.

    and no follow-up/updates.

So.. they will replace hardware one day. No ETA, no timeline, we waiting for Rack Space in datacenter, then migration, then fingers crossed it's working.
(server is rebooting iirc due to some unknown hardware issue - they tried to diagnose it earlier, even run memtest for whole night, nothing showed up, whole swap incoming)

I think at this point they should have an entry in knowledge base or status page or even stupid .txt document with updates that we can check without bothering support :|
I kinda gave up, I will move my shit out soon.

Thanks for info, not monitoring it! but for me it is ok let us give them a chance

feels some 0day network vulnerability / misconfig that is causing spoof attacks / DDOS which is taking down all network interfaces

after few years of stability soo wierd what is going on now?

I don't think reboots are happening or hardware crash because sometimes outage only happen from 10 different locations and from other locations no issues (connects normally)

Which location has the most downtime?

    Mine seems okay though.

  • They said they will move all hardware to Databarn datacenter. Just do not know when

This is where I'm supposed to be migrating our NL stuff to. Last I heard, and I requested a follow up on Monday, was that they were waiting on transit.

We would be forced to renew because aff money can only go into store credits.
The question is, would heartbeats final stop into deadpool before we can spend all the aff money?

    Then go with Sweden

Never had an issue here....Netherlands on the other hand....

  • My baby NL IPv6 works fine up 73 days

  • For some reason both Naranjatech and Heartbeat has similar shitty networking experience for me. I feel bad for buying 4 different services from Naranjatech also as their network is not reliable

Not only this provider - more providers in that DC are having issues AGAIN.

They (Skylink) are lucky that people still remember C1V, otherwise it'd be worst datacenter to be in.

The number of big words from your network/DC provider have been proven wrong again. Like all the other times.

Weren't you thinking about moving from Skylink?

HostSlick's IPv4 is still down for me, 20mins+, IPv6 OK, but Heartbeat is indeed back up (for me).
