Teams is clunky and shi**T altogether. In free version you can't even manage your 'contacts' (add/delete), atleast when I tried 2 days back.
Telegram for FREE alternative seems good. Mostly adpoted by 'techy' people already so they don't need to learn/install a new IM chat app.
Plus, Telegram has some very neat Groups / Channels options. TG also has 'TOPICs' inside groups (like Slack) to organise chat within the same group of people for different tasks/projects and keep them organised.
Rocket chat is a good slack/teams-like replacement that can be hosted on most/any vps, and matrix is another in this category. There should still be a full-featured community edition that is free.
Ya leaning toward telegram.
Haha, that's good.

Cool thanks, ya definitely for business. After surveying most of our customers and vendors and teams seems Telegram is going to be most popular.
Telegrams can do the same things as Skype and more. We do not expand our support channel to Telegram because we are against using a channel for communication that cannot be directly connected to our CRM. As a result, you don't know who the Telegram user is, how they are connected to their billing account. Also, this is an insecure channel, and you can't safely send confidential access credentials to a customer or receive them from them.
skill issue
MS Teams & Google Meet best alternatives ever...
Thank you, def have that one downloaded.
yup leaning towards telegram for sure.
haha classic.
That's a great questions, I have not found it yet......
Telegram seems to be the one.
right its good, the issue though is how many people are moving to it? So far all my customers and vendors are going to telegram.
The Danish postal service stops its snail mail service at the end of this year.
Ya leaning towards Telegram.
yup seeing the same thing too.
yup!
It depends on what features you are looking for. From the open source world,
If you want some phone connectivity, I have used zadarma.com before; their prices for phone numbers and calling are quite reasonable.
Also, discord is quite good (although it is unreachable from some countries such as Turkey)
Giray
hard to find an alternative. maybe team app.
skype is solidly accepted as it has been part of ms account, and thus virtually installed with almost every desktop with windows. I cannot find one such app that can be used across the global, even in China mainland where the GFW blocks most social/communication software. It also helps those who want to dial from the desktop to a real phone user. It's free from pc to pc/app to app, and it's not free from pc to phone which helps it generate profits and to sustain.
Skype will no longer be available from May. I think they are also moving to a different platform.
no shit?
Teams is mainly internal chat system.
Move to telegram then!
Yep. That's their plan.
Yes that's correct
ya thats good.
Ahh didn't know that. What place can't get it?
Thanks good to know.
great work around.
Cool, still have to check out Viber.
