They deleted my existing server for "migration" when I asked a question immediately and without any recourse. They then canceled every other unrelated service I had with them and gave me a 1 week(ish) migration window in retaliation for posting about this
They have the right to terminate your contract, and 7 days is reasonable time to move your data somewhere else considering the circumstances.
Just move somewhere else mate so both you and the company are happier.
Regardless, letting everyone here know how terrible they are on this
Also, issuing a charge back on my CC because they're only issuing a partial refund for their service cancelation
Combination of 1, 2 and 3 = They suck it up, stfu and move on.
Yep. @webhorizon is a shitty provider with no ethics. Suck it up. Accept that I've lost money. Move on. And let others know how shitty they are to try to warn them in advance. I've learned my lesson
Curious, which lesson is that?
Don't work with webhorizon
Your account had only one transaction in the past 12 months which amounted to $7 , refunded in full. I don't understand where the 40% comes from.
If you think there is more left , send me a screenshot, will refund it.
To clarify, we are no scammers and also don't make any profit on $3/yr or $7/yr natvps.net plans.
You made things difficult for us and I don't wish to have a fight. So issued a refund, you can choose some other provider there are many here!
I have also addressed your concerns with our team member, Ayyub, and emphasized the importance of clear communication to avoid any future misunderstandings.
Good luck!
We're still waiting for the logs.
Maybe OP is looking at original price of the service and not promo and thinks provider owes them extra money
I mean they do talk about multiple services while @Abd says it's one transaction in a 12 month period so no idea what's going on.
My gut is saying OP is confused about something.
Possible. Only OP can clear the air here
@Arkas closes topic and moves to Offtopic.
It helps ball regeneration.
Nah. This be open. Need popcorn.
Friday
it always like this,if they(vps provider) got exposed they will deleted your vps and data in instant lol
OP had multiple natvps services nyc, lax, canada, Switzerland, etc. purchased around 11.01.2024 for one year period. Singapore purchased 27.12.2023
Of these , US & EU locations were recreated as KVM already and their due dates extended by so next renewal date for them 24.02.2025.
As SG wasn't recreated in time op paid $7 for SG renewal on 03.01.2025 , after which we recreated it as KVM on 22.01.2025, and extended his due date by 74 days on 23.01.2025 (compensation for 74 days unusability as the reinstall system on ovz7 was borked)
After this op decided to open this thread on 24.01.2025
refunded his $7 payment then.
So while he has multiple services, there's only one payment I could refund.
3 months? For real?
As op mentioned here, his services are running and we have not deleted any data since the moment he has opened this post. As stated here, he has time until January 31st to move his data to another provider.
OK, now since so many people want screenshots to prove I wasn't absolutely making things up, here you go. So I don't post here often, but I've been part of the lowend community for north of 10 years just to clarify this isn't a fly-by-night member posting things. I've actually been a NATVPS customer since 2021. Here's a screenshot of one of my first interactions with them 4 years ago

I've had quite a few services with them:

They've never had great service, but they have always been cheap, and I've always known cheap comes with a cost. They've had various outages and downtimes and I've never asked for compensation of any kind.
I did have 5 different services with NATVPS. Unfortunately, I can't "show lowendtalk" this because NATVPS has just completely closed my account and made it impossible for me to log in and even see the services I'd paid for. Here's that screenshot as proof

This whole mess got kicked off when Webhorizon was not able to deliver their OVZ services for a number of months. It seems they knew this, which was part of the reason for transitioning away from OVZ to KVM. I don't have an issue with the transition: they announced it in October and although the timelines were generally short and shitty, it again comes with the "low end" price point.

They did a fair number of kind of dodgy things from there on: services I had paid for got "moved" to new locations. e.g. I had paid for a Switzerland VPS and they closed that location and did not offer a refund: only the option to migrate my VPS to a different location. But again: low price, low quality and all that, so I never complained.
The service had been generally not available since before October. You can see that in my previous e-mail, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this community. Several VPSes wouldn't start up at all for months: New York VPS, Singapore, Netherlands, and Los Angeles all had been offline for > 1 month. They were low price, so it wasn't the worst and I never complained, but every couple weeks I'd try to log in and start the servers and they wouldn't boot on. Such is life.
With the KVM migration, I brought this up to them, and that's when they said they'd compensate for the downtime (as shown in the previous screenshot). Then when I re-raised it as part of this, they said "sorry, have a look at our TOS. We're not willing to do anything." And when I posted this thread, that's when they canceled my account.
It's hard to show anything other than the e-mails I've received because now they've deleted my account and even before then, they deleted ticket responses they'd sent.
It's sad that even when VPS providers are wrong ppl still defend it...
We will need some more popcorn for this.
AI Summary of OP's previous post:
Author’s Background: Long-time lowend community member and NATVPS customer since 2021. Shares screenshots as proof.
Service Issues: NATVPS was cheap but unreliable, with frequent outages. Author had 5 services, but the account was closed, preventing access.
Transition Problems: Webhorizon shifted from OVZ to KVM due to service issues. Author accepted the transition despite short timelines.
Unresolved Complaints: Paid services were relocated without refunds, and multiple VPSes were offline for months. NATVPS initially promised compensation but later refused, citing their TOS.
Account Closure: NATVPS canceled the author’s account and deleted evidence after the issue was raised publicly.
Yep, that sums it up accurately @wadhah
@eski @Abd @webhorizon I was curious and checked the PDFs and screenshots that were posted, but is this all the content? In several places, I'm confused due to missing context...

To be honest, in situations like this I don't blame them. If the customer is unhappy, there's always a chance they'll do something EXACTLY like the OP is doing anyway:
Let's get this clear. The OP received the service for 8 months, but wants a full refund for the year.
Once the user has already started posting threads like this, there isn't really any sensible outcome from the provider other than cutting ties entirely. It's clear the the OP doesn't want to resolve the issue in a way that's beneficial to both parties, but wants to get as much refund as possible whilst causing as much pain to the provider as possible. The provider cancelling the service and proactively refunding pro-rata is allowed by the terms of service and minimises the risk of OP trying to screw them over.
I'm not defending the level of service here - 3 months outage seems unacceptable, and the interactions with support are almost comically bad, but cancelling the service and pro-rata'd refund for a service that the OP used without issue for 8-9 months seems entirely reasonable.
No, I never asked for (or even wanted) a refund except for asking to cover the several months of downtime. I was hoping for about 1/4 of a year extension or refund given that's how much was offline. When I did that, the support person first said basically "yes, just include that in the ticket once we actually get things fixed here" and then later said "actually, no, we're not going to do anything." The support was -- as you say -- comically bad and when I raised this, they then said "actually, what we're going to do is cancel all of your services for complaining in public."
Just to be clear: it appears from this thread that there is no disagreement that:
1. @webhorizon agrees the servers were offline for months
2. They were unwilling to extend the date of the services until I posted something negative on LET
3. Webhorizon deleted a VPS immediately and created a new one because they misinterpreted my ticket. Their response was "Can that satisfy your ego"
4. Webhorizon did completely terminate services in Switzerland even though I had paid already for the year. They offered a new VPS in Canada as a transition
5. Once I did post something negative on LET, they deleted my account entirely
6. Webhorizon sees nothing wrong with this and "in shock" per https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/4279600/#Comment_4279600 because they think the way they handled this was so great
