Check out Tailscale if you haven't yet!
That's a great prize, let me ask Dustin for this
~$6K for that?? I feel bad for our ancestors.
Maybe get a old pc that has 2 disk slot and use it with software or hardware raid. Preferably minipc
Frankly, would be happy with the backpack.
That's what our kids are gonna say when they see RTX4090 builts!
Yup, someone else recommended this as well. Have had some experience with Wg earlier. That's why was opting for it. But, Tailscale seems to be much faster. Will check it out then.
If you win something I'll trade that with the backpack I may win 🤣
It's just HDDs on 4 bay HDD Dock connected to old laptop with software RAID. But hey, it works! 🤣
Mostly media, and some backups.
But for backups I also store a copy on a storage VPS I got from BF and another copy on iDrive E2.
There's gonna be speedrecord to break the 100 pages barrier this time
LOL! True. Ray tracing would be a thing of ancient past by that time, I guess.
Yes that's what I'm saying! Use a old hardware with drives and use it as raid NAS
Tailscale is based on Wireguard, but I just love the convenience of it and ease of use. I have it installed on everything, so I have a secure connection between local and remote machines all the time, with a full web control panel.
LOL! You have better chances of going for the top prizes than me. Don't mind my current pace. Will have to slow down pretty soon.
One thing they ain't gonna say is, lowendtalk was expensive servers! 😁

Hahah, you will win something.
Well, that's good enough for most people's needs. Your comment on older laptops just gave me another idea. I could use my Android box for this. Would install Armbian on it and connect a SATA dock with the said HDD to it and setup the Tailscale/Wg tunnel and use it for backups. This way, I don't have to worry about electricity bills that woulda come with usage of my PC for the backups.
That's become a tradition now.
Yeah, this is really fast
Yes sir.
Well, that's what I am gonna go for then, given there's an Armbian package for it.
PS5? is that rare?
Seems like a solution.
Hells yeah.
Give Aways
The disk add on.
Let's hope so. Frankly would be happy with the backpack.
Definitely! You don't need RAID most of the times.
I hope all this gets archived!
I want to save some money this new year, to get one good rig to play with GenAI. I have some interesting ideas to integrate it to my web projects
