    New feature drop!

    You can now quickly & easily create aliases/forwarders right from cranemail. A mass import option has also been added for those that have 40 aliases and don't want to add them all by hand.

  • I think it might have been suggested already, but is there a way to quickly switch between accounts without having to log in again?

    I've reached peak lazy.

    Instead of doing manual adjustments for primary domain counts on some customer lifetime plans, I've just bumped all of the combined lifetimes (500G or larger).

    Primary domain count changes:
    Lifetime 500G - 30 domains -> 50
    Lifetime 750G - 45 domains -> 75
    Lifetime 1000G - 60 domains -> 100
    Lifetime 2000G - 120 domains -> 200

    The new limit has been applied to anyone who has already purchased one of these plans directly or had us merge these.

  • @NameCrane @Francisco

    Thank you for adding more primary domains on higher plans. However you might have forgotten to add set 25 on the 250GB plan. :blush:

    So you see nothing wrong in the following image?

    I see an increase of 25 domains with every 250GB. But the 250GB original plan has only 15 domains. Correct me if I am wrong with this comparison in math?

    Just means the 500gb is even better value.

    So "stacking" plans, just turned into "better value" plans. This is quite interesting. I guess it sells well.

    10 minutes ago things were great with the plans as they were. Now suddenly the plan is shite and not worth it. I don't get it.

    No one lost anything in the tweak. We simply improved the value on the bigger stacked plans.

    That is your statement. If you consider your plans like that... I can't comment.

    No one lost anything in the tweak. We simply improved the value on the bigger stacked plans.

    That's exactly what I observed too. I just thought it was a typo issue or math comparison in formula. Seeing 1000G plan has 100 domains, or how 500G plans has 50 domains, thought 250G plans should have had 25 domains (1 from "15" becoming 2, as in "25" = typo).

    Since you designed such higher plans due to stacking requested by customers in tickets, it was easy to reach a conclusion these were selling well, so it made sense for you to create more plans, now with better value too.

    That's very true. Prior to Mike making the plans it was a very manual thing (he'd manually edit a users plan, adjust resources/pricing, generate an invoice), and then he'd have me merge any domains the users had in the 'other plans'.

    Over time we decided it was better to just put the stacked plans as an option on the site.

    As for where the sudden domain bump came from....

    At some point I had promised to bump someones domains on their merged, but I didn't add that functionality into the cranemail portal yet. We decided 20 minutes before him making that post that 'screw it, just normalize everyones plans'.

    The lifetimes are still crippled in other ways (no reseller abilities, etc), and that'll stay that way. We'll never do 'lifetime resellers' or things like that.

    Francisco

  • but for the 250G lifetime, 25 domains would only be fair.

  • @Francisco , sorry, I curiously tried one more time, still being marked as frand. Here's the order # 5396319922 for your reference.

    I am a sucker for lifetimes. I got a lifetime since they were offering 5 domains and can't really complain. So far the service works good.

    From a legal perspective all this gray area seems a bit weird. We are dealing with a reputable provider here, known for quality and for trying to stand tall to their own words. When they say something like "this is the lowest [price] you'll ever see it" and later increases specs of initially stacked higher plans (like domains) - is that still the lowest price? Technically yes when it comes to price alone, but emotionally debatable because it started as a stacked advertising and then became a new product with higher specs (buying more space and domains with 500G, gets actually cheaper in stacked features when compared to what someone else gets with 250G).

    To all this we add the fact that this is a discussion about lifetimes. One year ago I would have never thought Francisco would actually sell "lifetimes" and for so many days. Yet here we are and I was wrong.

    Only time will tell what will be next. But so far, no matter how much skepticism I desire to have, I am pleased with what I see and with improvements being made so far. Hopefully he will invest well all this money from lifetimes, because I don't want to see a good provider going under. Too many companies have failed with lifetimes, creating enough material for others learn from their mistakes.

    I've read all 24 pages (took a while) and just wanted to confirm. @Francisco you mentioned you won't migrate data from US to EU once it's available. Does data refer to uploaded user files, emails etc. or the customer's account data on your side?

    For example, if a user purchase a plan now and idles it until EU is ready, is it possible for their account to be migrated to EU if they want?

    Nope > @Francisco said:

    As requested, we've put together a demo account :)

    https://demo.workspace.org/
    https://demo.crane.email/

    You can also point your own (sub) domain to it to brand it.

    The login/password resets every 4 hours. Total domain wipe.

    Downloads are 403'd to stop people abusing the file storage.

    OnlyOffice is enabled for those that want to see it.

    ENJOY!
