Can I use windows 2022 with this spec?
2 CPU cores (0.5 dedicated cores, 1.5 fairly shared cores) ROME/MILAN
4GB RAM
50 GB NVMe storage
Seedbox has no real impact on the CPU. It could be IO intensive on the disk while seeding.
Now I am waiting for it to start.

It starts from date the server is delivered/activated. So if your server isn't activated until Dec 20th (for example), the next renewal will be on that date, NOT the original date it was ordered/paid for.

OK, thanks!
Thank you for the response! Just one more quick question
wouldn't this be slow on higher-latency links (or is 80ms not enough to make it slow)? I've seen something like this mentioned in the rclone forum.
May I ask why this is? Is it because of the security risks of an unencrypted layer (shouldn't this be same for NFS?), or is there a performance issue?
If I remember correctly, they have to adjust the date manually. If you get the VPS and it doesn't show the correct renewal date after a week, you can create a ticket and they'll adjust it.
80ms isn't very high, but you should try it and see how well it works for your use case. Something else might work better for your particular use case, but you won't know unless you try a few things
FTP is annoying for firewalls because it uses two connections - one for commands and one for data. That'd be fine, but the data connections happen on a random port. Every time you connect, the data connection happens on a different port. You end up needing to have a range of ports open instead of just a single port.
In the past, FTP servers were relatively insecure, and that improved over time, but it's still hard to tell. The issue is mostly that people have moved on from it in favour of SFTP, so there could potentially be unknown security issues in FTP software.
idk but probably you could test between CIFS/SMB and NFS over wireguard...?
@Daniel15 @satorik Thank you both of all for your inputs! I'll try them all once I get them and update if I find anything significant
I have seen analysis that, without considering security and configuration complexity, FTP or FTPS is at least 20% faster than SFTP for simple file transfer purposes.
bought the 32G ram one 3 years, thank you! Invoice #459885
Has anyone got their VPS provisioned after ordering?. They mentioned it will take 10 days for the instance to be provisioned but just curious to know.
I opened a ticket 14h ago, because my storage server is down.
@hosthatch any news?

Hi Hosthatch,
I opened a ticket about a billing invoice (not related to special packages) more than 10 hours ago but no one has supported me.
Specifically, this billing invoice does not have a "Checkout" button like other invoices, making it impossible for me to pay. As a result, those 2 servers have been suspended.
I created a ticket with the hope of getting the fastest support but still have not received a response.
Please help me.
Ticket id: Billing Department — #189283
Thank you so much

Still waiting
still waiting TYO's provision
I got my Black Friday server provisioned! Thanks HostHatch!
waiting for Australia server provision
six days ago.
Hello to those who have previous promotion plans, does your plans are renewable, or can they be extended?
Still wait
yes, all recurring
T&Cs say up to 2 weeks to provision, so if it's provisioned within 14 days, it's a bonus.
I'm still waiting myself, but that's what I agreed to when I ordered it, so all I can really do is check my inbox impatiently
Yeah, also waiting.
Good to know I'm not the only one left xD
waiting....
