BTW, @TrK have you jailbroken your iPad?

I am not into jail breaking my devices, for security reasons. I even don't root my android since last 4 years.

I used to like a decade ago. Not after I moved to Pixel. Might root only for the purpose of running Graphene.

Just don't see any value to it now, was kinda interesting and with all the fuss about magisk and what not, after that it just died down.

I have never used an iPad before. But, let me ask you. Having used an iPad for quite some time now, would you ever consider a good Android tablet?

I will only if it's powerful enough to handle all the files and can maintain several apps in the memory. And those are costly to say the least, i.e. samsung tab s series.

@DeadlyChemist Just tried your page with the query - http://racknerd.thechemicalworkshop.com:9030/?text=Racknerd-Chef-with-Server

    Got this:-

    Are any improvements incoming?

    cant see the image/embed

    fix is comming (needs ssl)

    Maybe try Cloudflare's AI Gateway?
Includes caching too for identical queries.
    https://developers.cloudflare.com/ai-gateway/configuration/caching/

i dont use cf, so would need to route thru cf to begin with...

Would it be very difficult to just host it on your VPS?

it is on my vps, and it's nearly done

Excited. Just let me know when done.

  • Hello, I would like to double the bandwidth.

@TrK Sorry for bothering you. Please reply if you see this message and are free. Looked into a few of TVSe mech KBs and Gold Prime seems to fit my budget. https://www.tvs-e.in/keyboards-and-mice/gold-prime/

Any ideas if it'd be a good fit for a first time mech KB user.

It's good but if you want more reliable thing go with any keyboard with cherry mx keys instead of outemu from TVSe although TVSe keyboard still works fine even on outemu switches they just can't be compared to cherry mx for reliability. The max lifespan you can expect from the outemu is around 5-6 years before it's switches starts behaving awkwardly. Also apart from the switches the quality of TVSe keyboards is rock solid.

    Thanked by 1noob404

OnePlus used to handle this very well, in the 6 series of phones, etc. when they were actually community-centric. Now, it's all gone to shit.

isn't it just another AOSP fork i have seen too many tbh all promising this and that, but the security part of any AOSP fork is a joke unless you stopped using Android altogether, the only reason my main device is apple and secondary is android is due to this. Android isn't that secure imo and even though we know it we just can't have google disclose everything.

It's funny how something which was supposed to be open turned out but oneplus still makes some awesome phones, i have it's nord 4 as a secondary device and it's pretty much good enough handle a workload my previous android couldn't. Also with all the hype for OOS 15 it's just getting better and better.

If you want privacy and security, then you use GrapheneOS. If you don't want those things, then you use another phone.

No, GrapheneOS is not "just another AOSP fork". Here is a great YouTube video (using a Privacy Front-end) if you want to have a better in-depth explaination of what GrapheneOS really is - I evolved from CopperheadOS, which was never an AOSP fork.

Many people are moving to Affinity, but, Adobe already has a huge market share and people already comfortable might not move at all.
