You could say the same thing about most abuse complaints -- that the host's responsibility is to the customer and they shouldn't play detective about disputes between third parties. Some companies do things that way, but not most of them.

Yes, absurd, but raging is in my book not even close to as bad as exposing personal details, that was way worse.
I always put my home address in the whois data when I register a domain name. My neighbors wear a ski mask instead, for privacy. I've never seen their faces. And they pixellate anything out of their pictures. It's dangerous otherwise. Especially their kids, their kids are little pixel creatures, but I swear I once saw a nitid piece of ski mask behind the pixel blob. What a fap fest.
