    Last month and this month are being way too rough, the job offers I get aren't enough for me to live, my rent itself is a lot of money, Portugal isn't a cheap country, used to be.

    Move to Spain IS AN option. Cheaper in some places than crazy Portugal rent. You could get a small apartment for cheapo or a small rent. Outside of the main cities true but for cheapo.You could get some work online so It IS another option to be considered. If you are looking for some advice i could get you more info just pm where to look etc regions Price ratio etc. Anyway you are a great person so i would repeat It you could have place Into the community so no worries about It.

    I'm a single father and have shared custody, no matter what, I'll never leave my kids, nor the shared custody.

    but well on the portuguése border You could find some bargain at less than 400 euros/monthly for a decent flat. So you could travel by car to Portugal in no time. Just saying to help you somehow. It IS Up to you.

  • You should refund people for the so-called life time offers a pro-rata refund if you are fully aware that the years don't match up to the so called "lifetime" price.

    You should also retire from running a company for good. I believe this isn't your first time doing this scheme with opening and closing the doors if memory serves me well.

    You've purposely created unsustainable business model to lure people in, then close it's doors without intention of refunding people.

    The best action forward is to give up your moderation tag and a hosting tag, and call it a day for good.

With your other locations (US/DE) we can renew them for you until we have the shared hosting live there. If you need a job, we can hire you as a part-time hosting & sysadmin. We normally do not do refugee deals but as a father myself I will try as much as I can to help you with this situation.

    I've already given up on my Moderator tag, right after I created this post, I posted in the private staff thread about this.

    I'm unable to provide any refunds as I do not have money for it.

    I haven't closed any business that I wasn't able to refund, actually had successful businesses such as mxroute.io that was acquired by MailChannels directly, but you're definitely right, this isn't good.

    So having looked at this, including the "numbers" - thank you to @MikePT for providing them. I currently do not really see how i can turn this into a success that most current users will be happy with.

    So for the moment the things i am willing to do are:

    • a 50% discount on sitetide.com services (Code: MyW-Rescue ) including free migration assistance
    • give mike some backup space if required (in the next few hours).

    With all due respect, this is a public forum and this is a public post, and such are my thoughts on this matter, service sold is service provided, money is money, no matter how big or how small the amount - it adds up quickly.

    This is why I trust my prod with @NDTN :)

    Right now, the only provider willing to take our clients and that has to be as a goodwill gesture, because it's not worth it financially wise. We're discussing in PM.

    @host_c is also providing us a VM so I can backup everything there. Thank you for that.
