Probably because there wasn’t any stock. But servers get cancelled and the other DC’s should have plenty of this config still.
Sales in that region is low, that why they have available only in that region. When the sales will increase in that region, slowly they will release servers in other regions.
I spoke with OVH again via live chat this morning, and this time I encountered someone even more uninformed about the KS-A. Despite repeatedly clarifying that I was asking about the KS-A, I was asked if I was sure it wasn’t the KS-4. After explaining multiple times that it was indeed the KS-A, the support agent still required a link and a screenshot of the offer, as they had no information on it.
Safe to say it’s not coming back anytime soon

I know it’s OVH and they’re notorious for shit support but not even having ANY information about there even being a KS-A offer cant be a good sign regardless of assumptions to a restock
I don't think it's a sign at all. They're royally clueless. Sure, but except for niche stuff, I think Hetzner has been far more competitive recently. And their stuff ain't completely broken.
Contabo also still have some VPS availible for you for 4,50.
Hetzner is unbeatable with there level of quality and support. For VPS i go NetCup.
And in the past days Cloud VPS 0 was available with 100 Mbps premium network...

There are no perfectly equivalent products, I prefer more storage to more RAM and faster storage, thing is, at 2x price, only better support won't cut it.
I get it, some people prefer higher prices and being treated better, but as a Romanian I never expect this from anyone, so it doesn't really factor in my purchase habits.
Needing the most compute/$ is less niche I’d say, and OVH can’t come close to the EX44 in that regard IMO.
And again, it’s not just the support. OVH is deeply broken from within.

A dedicated server for 5 euro is not real, then you are living in a fantasy world.
The disk is actually 2 TB.
I used to have one for 2 eur, it was some time ago, though, and not from OVH, but online.net.
For cheap FR dedis, I found oneprovider/scaleway to be not bad. OVH is only good for its unmetered bandwidth. They don't yell at you for using too much bandwidth.
