More or less. It's a custom offer by a hoster very close to my company. They aren't active on LET. Regular prices are at over 100€/m 😅
So not quite low end
Can post a yabs in general yabs thread tomorrow.
Yes, so private deal. Not really comparable.
Netcup has very good prices for dedicated resources.
However, some VPS providers allow 60%-70% constant CPU usage. So yes, it's possible to find better deals for non-guaranteed resources, which is enough for most use cases.
But for production, when you want guaranteed resources without a big budget, they're very good.
Are you downloading usenet
I pay with us credit card, no issues
I also get the invoice in English.
Are the charges denominated and billed in Euros?
yes, in €. But my credit card does not charge anything extra beyond standard conversion rate.
I was charged US 2.16 for 2.00 Euros billed
anyone tried new netcup rootserver performance for woocommerce or wordpress site?

One of the best performering VPS for under €10
These are dedicated vCores
This is simply unbeatable with any deal posted.
it is so exceted!
If it’s a VISA, you actually are.
Check the conversion rate and compare with what I have paid.
$2.16 for €2.00
Now tell me if they have charged anything extra beyond standard conversion
If it’s a VISA, they have.

@dev_vps So what? The rate's changed? Your comment proves nothing and it also could not prove anything because I'm right, if it's a VISA, you probably were charged currency conversion fees.
VISA use their own conversion rate, they don't rely on the European Central Bank (that's often viewd as the "truth".)
For example, if you bought the VPS today, for 10 EUR, according to VISA's own calculator, and you converted 10 EUR to USD, their calculation is below:
10 EUR = 10.950989 USD
1 EUR = 1.095099 USD
1 USD = 0.913159 EUR
% Mark-up over European Central Bank Rate = 0.51
Your credit card issuer dosen't add any fees on top, but that dosen't mean that there are no fees. VISA's fees depend on currency pair, time & day from what I recall.
The number matches exactly after making the bank fees to zero% over exchange rate for the transaction date
@dev_vps your own screenshot states 0,07 %
It’s not much, it’s usually not when the currency pairs are common and the day leaves enough time for VISA to convert the currency before market closure
That’s why the fee’s higher today, as it’s friday and a weekend’s coming up ahead
Just wanted to put it out there that many cards say 0 % fees, but they’re actually not. My credit card did the same, I argued with them for a few replies over email, and they agreed and changed their email template. Now they clearly communicate how many % higher the fee is compared to ECB for each transaction
@emgh
I have worked for financial industry for long enough to understand the marketing gimmicks
Main thing is watch for any bank fees over exchange rate, such things are part of fine print combined with legal and financial terms
And 0.07% markup is by European Central Bank , not by the card issuer bank
Yup, that’s my point. It’s a fee nontheless. Sometimes, it’s much higher too (weekends for example, as shown.)
Currency conversion, by the nature of transaction, will involve fees by the origin bank even if I take 10 euro bill to convert into US $ cash
In my experience, it is much better to withdraw cash at the ATM using debit card as compared to convert cash at any bank branch or currency conversion places
For example in India, the markup fees at currency conversion places is almost 5%
What? I’ve never seen that be cheaper anywhere
Ah you mean if you have to use physical cash? Sure, I guess. Depending on the ATM. There’s some real scammer-rate ATM’s. But card payment in local currency is almost always the best.
Third party ATM is a lucrative business to play with common person's lack of financial expertise
I’ve seen what I think is nightclubs operating their own ATM, right outside their entry queue where they, you guessed it, only take cash
🤑🤑🤑
This is no different than … credit card companies making more money with fees and surcharges as compared to interest charged
Just use wise.com
Check how much US $ will be needed so that the recipient gets €10 on wise.com
It is $11.64
versus $10.97 on my card
If you want to do bussines in Europe it's a good card
How exactly, when you are paying 6% extra as compared to the other card?
Can you all stop this nonsense ? Where are moderators to delete all offtopic ?
Excellent performance
These are dedicated cores, so no usage restrictions
