Awesome! I can finally get rid of some 7702p hosts.

  • Is this an recurring discount?

Sure. But be careful, all these plans come with a 12-month-long contract. Take care of your house.

Is there a way to cancel this contract in advance if I change my mind after some months of service?

    No.

    That was rude.

Can someone tell me how is DDoS protection on netcup?

You can transfer to someone else, this service is free, just generate a transfer code, but remember to inform the person when your contract expires!

It's fine. They are all clearly written on the order page. I would transfer the house, the car, the everything to my wife if I were you.

(kidding, i love it. the service is too decent for me, and all my servers never see a down time)

You can do monthly, you will just pay slightly more.

  • Interested in IO latency over a day or so if anyone is running collectd or similar metrics on one of these

Previous gens at netcup had latency spikes up to a few seconds daily, which depending on application is effectively a few seconds of downtime daily

    Post of their forum: https://forum.netcup.de/information/swap-ownership/offering/

  • IO was most problem for me when i have RS 9.5 and look like they remove the restriction on 11.

Month wise offer has about 15% higher cost

    Unique good price-performance ratio!
Netcup has one of the best VDSs on the market:D

Tried it once (unfortunately didn't save yabs), disk is fast, but cpu is not that fast (I think it was around 2000 gb4).

  • Nice! More 12 months crazy contracts that you need a tier 1 lawyer + some of @calin dark magic to get out of

  • I will stay with my 8x 75f3 16gb ram and 300gb nvme for ~10€/m at a different Hoster. Also additional ips are at 1€/m
Netcup ain't something for me. Somehow I always get better deals elsewhere 😅

My current contract is 30d cancelation with no minimum term since beginning. And I feel I get better value than the new offers that Netcup offers. Dunno how much traffic Netcup includes but I could do ~160tb with no issues per month tho I never reach that.

Does Netcup have any issues accepting US customers or US addresses or US credit cards or US dollars?
