So it's pretty much a case of either we need that SCAM_DONT_BUY dude back here (or someone like him) to be scam detective, or we just accept that scammers are gonna sell their turkey chickens at this particular wet market. Or both?

    Scammers be like:

    老板的新跑车靠你们了
I need to buy a new sports car. You fools, give me the money quickly

    (stolen from virmach.rip)

mjj takes the subway to work every day, and rides a small electric donkey to deliver food. The fat man earns enough money to buy a sports car
Boss vir's new sports car is broken, so all mjj chicks are still pending

😂😂You gave excellent idea to newbies who want to buy lamborgini quickly to impress their crush. Seems like we have to face good amount of deadpools after this idea😂

From Chris, I bought in October/September. In November, Chris stopped sales.
If you know math, you may calculate the divination of these post.

So you cover a scammer who collected money from people on this forum and disappeared.

Chris's initial behaviour, in September, deserved close attention.
But you anyway allowed him to sale on this forum.

  • This will be legendary :D

    Scammer approved moderator

  • @tsoft nobody here is a fan of chris

    literally nobody

    you're preaching to the choir

and you've done so for a very long time now

  • Scammer should be punished.

But yes, covering fraud. And make such mistakes in the timeline, for moderator, is .. khem :D

Yes I thanked a moderator who has been doing his/her job as a moderator. You’ve been relentless, constantly accusing me of scamming when in fact, customers did get refunds. You’re obsessed with contacting people I know, constantly making new threads, and even going as far as threatening to contact my former employers.

I’ve apologized to this community, and I’ve provided refunds to those who didn’t receive notice of our shutdowns. You’re taking this too far, I did not intentionally close HX, yet you’re here posting contact information, defamation of character and more.

This will be my last request to you to stop before further action is taken.

It's empty!!! Chris, you are a liar and scammer.
    You did not refund anything.

Look in PM. You did not refund crypto. Not sure about other people who paid by other means.

Look in pm, refund this person.

Chris, you even lied that provided services since 2006.

In 2006 this site was owned by another person, not related to hosting.

Actually, you started in late 2009.

You lied all your useless life.

What the fuck is going on in here? This place has reached critical mass with scammers.
The average person seems to feel like the providers here are vetted.
....maybe vetting the providers would be forced on the admins.

I think what this place needs is a more strict vetting process.

More fees will not be the solution, but will probably have some other side effects, that, like legitimate smaller hosting businesses stopping their offers here.

They were still advertising in November and you praised their offers -> https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/189781/hxservers-budget-and-premium-us-vps-hosting-plans-start-2-10-30-off-thanksgiving-sale

I'm not trying to defend this provider here but I think your antics towards the provider is starting to get really annoying. I know you're trying to help everyone by making them aware of the provider but the ship has sailed. Not to criticize you but your detective work would have been more highly regarded if you had done this earlier when they first advertised on this forum.

only 3 threads where I wrote about Chris, including one of my own? do they really stand out to you that much? there are many other topics, and it's precisely this that brings you down?

leaving fraud unanswered is not an option - our entire society is built on fighting against it :D

I haven't been on this forum for years. Past month there was need for many cheap vps. No longer need it as now just crawl hoster sites, like server hunter.

Next time will xray a hoster if a chance :D

So you bought yourself a server and also recommended to your friends. Did you not read the terms and warn your friends about the refund policy for the deals? Special discounted/promo plans during flash sales or any sales events (Black Friday, Holiday Sales…etc) are not eligible for a refund -> https://web.archive.org/web/20231022035808/https://hxservers.com/terms-of-service/

It was not promo. Just funded balance with crypto for future use. Like, any example, namecheap, twilio - just add funds and use it as you want.

Maybe there's a higher 'setup fee' instead of recurring. Maybe lower fees (scam insurance premium) for providers who are proven over time etc..

Then you should have asked the provider about refund policy for store credits because according to their terms it looks like only normal VPS services are eligible for a refund and no mentions of refund policy for credits or fund balance.

  • When you add funds to namecheap, you expect you wont refund it, but use.

But if namecheap goes out of business, you would expect to receive these funds back, not?

Chris said he refunded all customers (I am not sure, from his own words), but did not refund balance.

AI generated jsg positive review thread addon: $50

Reviews from me can't be bought.

It's AI generated topic, posted with jsg account.
The thread is invisible to a browser logged in as jsg account.
    Example: hostdoc, NexusBytes, EntryBytes, HostSolutions

    • HostDoc - Those VPS/VDS just were good, at least back then. And while there were multiple others incl. customers who also expressed their satisfaction with those systems there wasn't anyone complaining.
    • Nexus/EntryBytes - Those VPS/VDS just were good, at least back then. And nobody was complaining about provider/products.
    • HostSolutions - what you linked to is not even a review. But OK, it seems my impression (that they'd recover) was wrong; so what? Are you always right? Plus I clearly criticized him going and staying incommunicado. Btw. The - totally unknown - user opening that thread has been banned (no involvement of me).

As for my reviews, I 100% stand by them. But then, that's simple because they were based on objective data.

Also, what you tried here is a very cheap shot, basically just confirming my (meanwhile) negative impression of you. Oh how so super-smart to confront someone with his statements way later with full hindsight.

Most importantly though, your links may satisfy your despicable need to attempt cheap shots in order to gain fans within the idiot/meme crowd but you failed to show even one single case of me doing a paid for review!

Isn't it common for providers not providing refunds for crypto payments? I have seen this before.

If you use their services - it is ok.

But if the company goes out of business, would you expect a refund of unused funds?

    Otherwise, it is a scam.

My first fish was a goldfish called Rossano, given to me in a sad plastic bag with a tiny bit of fresh water and a knot on top :'(

I was four, he was 1, he lived to 15 or something. He was flushed down the toiled when his time came. It seemed like the best way at that time, I didn't know about sewage pumps and treatment plants then.

I think when providers say they don't refund crypto that applies to payments for a service and also payments towards credits. Whichever as long as crypto is the source of payment, it won't be refunded. As a matter of fact, even credit balance are usually non refundable isn't it?

@tsoft said: But if the company goes out of business, would you expect a refund of unused funds?

No. Because I wouldn't keep money as credit balance without knowing what the refund policy is for it and especially not at a provider that just showed up a few months ago. That would be foolish.
