  • Oh, how do I hate those HP Smartarrays. Any chance to bypass those in a dedi setup? (In this case it's a Smartarray p220i.)

Those stupid non-usable HP raid controllers turn a ssd speed down into a floppy disk speed.

I know but I still see no reason to be friends w/ HP(E) and their Smartarrays.

E.g. if you look at this:

    curl -sL yabs.sh | bash -s -- -i -g

than you are (in 4K R/W perf) below 5% in comparison to a SW Raid performance with two lowend consumer SSDs in SW Raid 1.

That is in terms of throughput and IOPs way way way below SW Raid or e.g. LSI Megaraid performance.

Hostclick deleted the customer's account and cancelled their order due to their own negligence. Everyone should be careful. Merchants have no reputation. Your server may be taken down at any time.

Because you used a promo code on item that is not supposed to? :joy:

I'm disappointed with my recent experience with HostSlick. After ordering a VPS, it took an entire day for them to initiate it. However, upon failing to connect through SSH or ping from various locations, I opened a ticket and received the following response:

    "Seems issue with hostnode.

We can not deliver and made a refund.

    Kind regards,
    Maximilian Kutzner
    HostSlick e. K."

    No apologies.

To compound the frustration, not only was my VPS deleted, but the entire ticket has been inexplicably removed.

This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

DId you want to keep the not working, faulty VPS?
We have refunded all those 12 orders on this specific node.

Sorry, I feel unhappy because that is a great deal on one I'd love to keep. I was so looking forward to fixing it... But this explanation is much more better and I totally understand it ♥️

    Not really Hosting friendly.
We had mollie but got closed because they dont allow our kind of business.

I also know of some other hosting companies who had their account closed.

I also can accept CC via Skrill

    Hello, Dear HostSlick Official Team,
I ordered your VPS yesterday. However, I paid without fully considering my needs, so I reported the situation to customer service and hoped to receive a refund and re-select a configuration. However, customer service told me that they have already applied for a refund, but my account will also be closed. I really regret that my problem caused this situation. Since my account has been closed, I cannot view the order status, so please tell me how long it will take for my refund to be processed. Thank you very much!
    Transaction #: 254765694979

Lastly, I really appreciate your company, and it was my mishandling that caused trouble for you. I apologize sincerely.

This was refunded sir. 7.66 USD via 2checkout.
They usually take 3-7 days for that.

@HostSlick Hello, it's been a week since my order, and the refund still hasn't shown up in my account. Is there any issue with this? Here are the order details: "On 2023-11-29, you purchased Cart Purchase: 38415 on https://hostslick.com using Visa/MasterCard - 7XX8 as the payment method. The total amount of the order 223081469 is 7.60 USD."
